This North Burnet dive bar is classic with its cheap drinks and live music every night. And chicken bingo gives us all something to look forward on Sunday evenings!

Old School Austin. Cheap beer, live music, & chicken bingo on Sundays make this dive bar the stuff of Austin legend. Bring cash, wear cowboy boots.

Best in Texas Music!. Has to be the best place to listen to music and world famous for it's Chicken Bingo on Sundays. Really fun and nice crowd. With bands like Alvin Crow, James Hand , and Amber Digby, it may be the best kept secret in Texas!!!

Love this place!. This is a great little beer only bar! My husband and I walk there after work for a few beers and always stay longer than anticipated. The ladies working the bar (Ginny and Cheryl) are on top of taking care of the customers. Always a fun little band in the corner and on weekends they host texas popular artists like Dale Watson. Great crowd young or old.

Best Part Is The Music. Best nights to go are Tuesdays (Jim Stringer's AM Band) and Wednesdays (Roger Wallace Band, with Jim Stringer on lead guitar). The two best country bands in Austin. Despite what this website says in the upper left hand corner, they don't allow smoking.

Friendly Staff and good music. On a holiday in Austin, a friend and I went along to Ginny's. The bar is small and not licensed for alcohol so be prepared for beer or wine. The staff were very friendly and helpfull and although it was very quiet it was a nice little listening club. The only downside were the domino players - so be warned don't sit near the back as they are really noisy!

The band on when we went was Jim Stringer and the AM Band who were very good and gave us some great music.

The beer is cold and the music is classic country at this family-run honky-tonk.. In Short
More neighborhood bar than dive, this tiny saloon has served up the best of Texas for more than 10 years. Truckers, tech heads, rockabilly kids, good ol' boys and musicians rub elbows in the long, narrow room. Have a go at dancing--if you can find room on the tiny dance floor. Otherwise, put your quarters down on the pool table and prove your skill. Ginny herself is there practically every night of the week making sure everyone's having a ball.
