RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. These guys did a TPO roof on my commercial building that was about 4000 Sq Ft. No issues until it started raining and I started to notice my sheet rock swelling and eventually water was flowing out of the recessed can lights. I called and they would come back after each rain and try and patch things up. After awhile they were non-responsive. The patch jobs (however they patch TPO) never seemed to work and new leaks would begin showing up. The customer service was lousy. I recently had another roofer come by who specializes in TPO and said it looked like one of the worst installation jobs he had ever seen. Luckily with the recent drought in the Austin area I have not had to worry too much but it just rained today and I had water coming in like sieve. Do not use Aztec for commercial work, especially not TPO. They clearly are not qualified based on my experience.
We selected Aztec to do a major exterior remodel for us and were thrilled with the results. Paul walked us through each step of the way and must have answered a million questions for us.
They replaced our roof, siding and windows a couple of months ago and we have noticed how much LESS our AC has to work and how much quieter the house is with the new energy efficient windows.
The roof and siding looks beautiful - the painting and finish work was super.
We would strongly recommend Aztec to anyone needing a roof, siding or windows.
We couldn't be more pleased!.
My husband and I took several weeks in making our decision on choosing the right roofing contractor. We checked references and actually went out to check out some of the completed work.
We selected Aztec because their work was exceptional compared to many of the others and the folks we visited with were very happy with their customer service and supervision. We are glad that we took the time to make this big decision - and we couldn't be happier with the work they did for us! Our new 40 Yr roof looks awesome.
A word of caution to others looking for a roofing contractor - we were stunned when we met with 5 different local roofing contractors and only one contractor (Aztec) had legitimate general liability insurance to protect home owners.
Beautiful Metal Roof!.
I contracted with Aztec Roofing to install a metal roof system on my home a couple of weeks ago. This project came about after our previous aluminum shake roof was found to be 'totaled' by our insurance company.
Aztec's representative worked closely with my insurance company as I just didn't have time to devote to it or really get all the techno speak.
I got 4 other bids and their bid was right in line with what the insurance came up with to replace it.
Anyway, the roof is complete, it looks great (much nicer than the old aluminum shake), it passed the inspection from the insurance company and my mortgage company. And it held up great during the storms we had this week.
I would strongly recommend them for any roofing project. My roof was steep and had a bunch of angles to it - so it looked pretty difficult.
Oh, and the project manager sent me daily email pics to show the progress - that made me feel really good as I work long hours and am not home to see what is going on during the day!
24/7 response is great!!.
I had a tree branch fall on my mother in laws roof during the big storm that blew through this evening. I called 4 companies after 5:15pm today when i got home from work and these guys were the only company that answered. They had the roof temporarily repaired before dark and saved me from a lot of costly interior damage. They charged me a minimum service call and said they would help us make an insurance claim.
I'll post again when it is all said and done.
Right now I'm pretty impressed at the awesome response!
took 5 phone calls for them to finish the work. The job was after the major hailstorm, they were hired to reroof my house, replace the gutters and caps on the vents. They were very nice, came out and gave a good estimate. Replaced my roof very quickly and it doesn't have any leaks, called to say the job was done and I owed payment. When I got home, the gutters hadn't been replaced nor had the caps of the vents on the roof, there was a random pile of wood left on my roof and they had done some damage to my chimney. 1st phone call - I told them the job wasn't done, the gutters weren't replaced. They came out and replaced them the next day. 2nd phone call - there's a pile of wood on my roof, damage, caps not replaced. Said they'd come out and they didn't. 3rd phone call - same complaint. they sent someone out to look at it but didn't fix anything. 4th phone call - same complaint. they came out and did a poor patch job on the chimney and took down the pile of wood. 5th phone call - caps?? Supposedly it's going to be taken care of today. I guess we'll see!
Deadbeats. My company performed services for Aztec Roofing in Austin,TX and they will not pay for our services rendered. Paul A. Easterling ignores our calls and our invoices. I would not recommend this company based solely on their lack of business ethics and sheer dishonesty. I wonder how Aztec Roofing and Paul Easterling would feel if they did work for a customer and they did not pay up? These people do not have any class.
Avoid Aztec Roofing!.
I was told Aztec Roofing was a great company, so after the hailstorm in 2004, I hired them to replace my roof. The sales team was great, but when the crew came out to do the job, the nails they used were too long, and they pierced through the underside of my eaves. It was after business hours when I saw it, so I left a message. I never received a return call, but the next day, the crew was back to hammer the nails back up through the wood. So, the wood in the soffit was thoroughly damaged. I called again to complain, and the owner came by to inspect my house. He said that the crew had to use nails that went all the way through the wood to hold the shingles down, and he acted like I was crazy to complain. He said that it was the exterior of my house, and not a fine piece of furniture. I kept complaining until they finally agreed to resolve the problems. Additionally, Aztec Roofing used three completely different styles of flashing for the drip edge, which had to be replaced just to make things look consistent. Overall, it took over 6 months to get the most obvious problems resolved.
Three years later, in 2007, the soffits have rust spots all over them where the nails were hammered too far through the wood. I contacted Aztec Roofing again to complain, and I was told that someone would contact me to address the problem. No one ever contacted me, and I have taken it upon myself to try to repair the problems on my own rather than have to put up with their abysmal customer service again.
Avoid Aztec Roofing at all costs.
worst roofing company ever!. From day one I have had problems with this company. The workers damaged my gutters, knocked over my gas grill, broke my recessed lights, leaks on both patio covers and leaks on main roof at the rear of home. Theree workers broke a branch from my roof and used it to stir the adhesive they applied to roof. Workers don't speak a lick of english, or act like they don't speak english. They sprayed some silicon type sealant on my chimney without my approval and it is dripping all over. It looks like icicles all over. The owners won't return my calls. The absolutely worst roofing company ever!!!!!!!!!!!!
