Best chicken sandwich in town. Best chicken sandwich in town. I could eat one every day. I have never been disappointed with any meal that I have ordered. Service is friendly and the prices fit my budget just fine. Take your dog along the owners are big dog lovers.
BEST Hummus EVER!. Honestly I have only ever had the hummus and the falafel...they are just both so good that I have a hard time ordering something different because I seriously am in love with their hummus and pita. But friends have gotten the chicken sandwich and they say it is wonderful.
Great food in a casual atmosphere.... I had lunch here yesterday and was quite pleased. I was with a co-worker and it was her 1st time eating a gyro. She's a pretty picky eater so it was an adventure for her. Me on the other hand--not so much because I love gyros. I LOVED the texture of the meat, the slices of cucumber and and the sauce. The flat bread was fresh, soft and filled with slices of the gyro meat. We both had the daily lunch special of a gyro wrap and chose fries as our side. I'm not a huge fry lover but they were good. The lunch special a gyro, side (fries or greek salad) and a drink for around $8--I felt it was reasonably priced for the quantity and quality of food we both got. A couple of diners suggested we try the hummus on our next visit so next time we are in the are we will be sure to drop in and do just that.
Slow service and DISGUSTING food. Gyro Plus is absolutely the worst restaurant I've been to in the 10 years I've lived in Austin. The ambiance inside is terrible. The plastic tablecloths are ragged and torn; the walls and floor are dirty; and the place smells as if they haven't cleaned the fryer in a year. We waited over 20 minutes to get our previously prepared hummus, dolmathes, and lamb, all of which were barely edible. I managed to choke down 1/4 of my meal only because I smothered everything in cucumber sauce (which was sub-par but not outright disgusting). If you love Greek/Mediterranean like I do, don't bother with this place.
Best Gyros in Town.
Went there on a Saturday afternoon. Ordered the small greek salad and the Gyro. The best ever greek salad i've ever had. Appreantly, they make the dressing from scratch and also the white Sauce on the Gyro was amazing !!
Oh, also, I sampled their Kabob rice dish, which was very authentic. Highly recommend it.
Editorial Review by Citysearch Editors. Basic setting serves authentic Greek dishes like pastichio, dolmathes and beef and chicken gyros. Sides include caviar and Greek salads.
