In Short – The restaurant is decorated with brass vessels and vases. Prints of Hindu gods and heroes line the walls, which are pink with gold arches. The patrons include families, couples and groups of young people. The large assortment of hors d'oeuvres includes chicken pakora--tender fried chicken strips marinated in yogurt, ginger and garlic. The star special mixed grill combines tandoori oven selections on a sizzling, colorful platter.

The only reason I'm giving this place 1 star is because a rating is required to post a review.
We opted for the buffet since it appeared to have many choices....bad move. The naan was burnt. The Tandoori Chicken was dry. The Samosas were luke warm and lacked the garaam masala flavor. The Beef Vindaloo was bland. The vegetable fritters were soggy. I could go on. The only thing that was not horrible on this $10.99 dinner buffet is the lamb meatballs. Save your money and find some other place to eat!
- Cons: Bad Food
absolutely the worst!!

The owner of this place, the guy with the white beard, is possibly the biggest bigot Ive encountered in Austin. My wife and I are a mixed-race couple (African-American/ South Asian), and we were actually refused service here. We walked in and were told by a waiter to take a seat at a table. We didn't want the buffet, so we sat at our table for almost 10 minutes waiting for service.
When I approached the owner at the front and asked if we'd get served, he basically kicked us out and called me a n*gger!! I can't believe it's 2009 and people like this still exist - in Austin of all places. Avoid this place.
- Pros: none
- Cons: how much time do you have?
Passable, but not the best

I found plenty of variety on the buffet and the food was good -- but a few dishes weren't the best. The naan was burnt -- edible-ish, but black. The saag paneer was a little off -- maybe not as creamy as I'm used to? I don't know. The samosas were a little on the bland / empty side.
Still, they had a lot of variety on the buffet, and the other dishes were good, if not the best ever. I was surprised to find samosas on the buffet at all, and I really enjoyed the Vindaloo and the Chicken Tikka Masala. Service was good too, although I'm not exactly high-maintenance in that regard. They cleared my empty dishes and kept my water glass full. I'll probably go there again, because the location is convenient, but I don't know if I'd drive past other Indian places to get there.
- Pros: buffet variety
- Cons: food quality
