Top of the line alinement machine and get this..... a guy who knows how to use it, really, and not just by reading the text on the screen. They understand what they are doing!

Super honest

The guys at Advanced were awesome! I went to get a diagnostic done (which is super expensive) and the guys figured out the problem in half the time so only charged me half for the diagnostic! Then they filled up my oil for free and advised me of 2 more major problems that could pop up. No hidden costs, no talking me into more repairs, and excellent advice.

Excellent Customer Service & Honesty

I chosed Advanced Auto based on the excellent online reviews I found. I've only lived in Austin 6 weeks and am always apprehensive about finding a good, honest, knowledgeable auto shop with good pricing. I seemed to be having an issue with tire balancing, but for all I knew the cause could have been something more expensive - all I knew was my car was shaking a lot and replacing a front tire didn't fix the problem. The people at Advanced were very courteous - they listened to all the info I gave them patiently and while I waited for the technician to finish up a couple of things before he could look at my car, the gentleman at the front desk made sure I knew they had not forgotten about me. I watched t.v., sat in their comfortable and cool lobby and read magazines (which, may I add, the selection included more than just typical guy magazines - they had tons of Martha Stewart Living, etc., ha ha!). When the tech came out to inform me the only issue was one bad tire, and showed me the problem with it, he then went to see if they had a used one. When they didn't, he gave me the price on a new replacement and also a recommendation to a nearby used tire dealer they work with. NO CHARGE FOR LOOKING AT MY CAR! I thanked them, went to the used tire shop (nearby Olmeda's - quick, courteous service also), got a used tire put on for $32.00 total and no more shaking!! Advanced could have charged me for higher services that may or may not have fixed my problem, but their honesty and fairness will certainly have me going back when I do have a problem they can fix!

Friendly, honest, no-pressure auto shop.

First thing I noticed was the large, clean, modern waiting room, with a computer and huge LCD TV for the customers. Not essential, but an extra mile I appreciate them going.

The most important thing to me was that they quoted me a price over the phone and that was exactly what I paid in the end. Never once tried to pressure me into spending more-- they did print up a list of things that COULD be done and an estimate in case I wanted to address them at a later point, but they didn't try to convince me to do them now or that it'd be unsafe to drive unless I got them fixed asap. They even drove me to work and came back to get me so I could get my tires changed without having to take a day off!

These guys are friendly, genuine, and will remember you when you come back. They exceeded my expectations in all areas, including price-- no, they aren't the cheapest in town and they'll readily admit that (though they did happen to have the best price in my area for the tires I wanted), but they're far from the most expensive, and I don't mind paying a middle-of-the-road price for top-of-the-line service. All in all, a pleasure to do business with, and highly recommended.
