THIS VET LIED TO ME!!!. I will never go back to this vet! I wish I could give her zero stars, because she doesn't even deserve one.

When one of my cats lost a dramatic amount of weight, all they wanted to do was sell me a dozen tests. They gave her a diagnosis of diabetes and sent me on my way with a large bill. I spent a year buying their prescription cat food, but she never gained much weight back. She remained listless and unhappy, yet the vet continued to say she was "doing great

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!. I got a free pet exam coupon, so I took my dog to the clinic. As soon as you enter the clinic, you want to run away! The smell is horrible, the place is dirty as hell, they do not clean it. Then, the staff was nice, but without experience. They only have 3 employees and a vet, so the check in takes about 20 mins. The vet assistant doesn't know about pets and he spends plenty of time writing and reading what he just wrote about your pet., so 30 mins is gone in that... then the vet finally comes, she'll do the regular check, and then she wouldn't tell you what your dog has, she just prescribes meds. At checkout, they wanted to charge me $80 just for the 30 amoxicilin pills (I guess they get their money back of the free coupon from the expensive prescriptions), and I didn't even know what my dog had. I asked and had to wait for another 10 mins for the vet to come out (she has already started attending other patient), and explain to me what she should had said before, so I decided to buy the $80 meds, but then they made me WAIT FOR ONE HOUR!!!! for 30 amoxicilin pills... NO WAY I AM COMING BACK! to that horrible place! And I am afraid my dog is going to catch a disease in there! It is just SO DIRTY I don't think the free exam coupon is going to get any new patient anytime soon. This place should be SHUT DOWN!!! They just want your money

The Vet You Want When it Truly Counts. We've been taking our dogs to Dr. Wadhwani @ Wells Branch for years, long enough that we've needed her help to get thru the heartbreak of two euthanasia. We keep going back despite that we moved out of the area 3 years ago to Cedar Park, primarily because of our experience with Dr. W during those tough emotional times.

Chevy Chase was a wonderful mutt, an odd looking mutation-mix of Corgie(?) w/ the pea-scooping jaw of some kind of bulldog breed; a true blue all-American "Heinz 57". He was absolutely useless yet adorable. Chevy lived an extraordinarily long time. He was abandoned in the Chevy Chase office complex @ 183 & I-35 in June 1987 (hence the obvious name choice) and lived an estimated 18-19 years. 2 years before passing we were ready to put him down - he was miserable, in obvious discomfort. But the Dr. found the true reason - bad teeth. All my fault as up to then I had no idea about canine dental health. The remedy was expensive but easily the best last gift we could give. After dental repairs he was like a pup again for many months. We felt it was the best money we ever spent on a beloved pet.

When it was finally Chevy's time, Dr. Wadhwani was amazing. In her line of work it should have been easy to lose her ability to empathize with the loss of a pet. Yet she was obviously caring and compassionate while remaining helpful & professional.

The second time around, with good 'ol Jakeyboy (another classic American Heinz 57) she was again caring and gentle, both with our sweet old boy and his owners.

There are many other reasons & experiences that count toward our loyalty to Dr. Wadhwani & WBP&B, but these two devastating episodes are all we need to keep making the trip to her clinic. She's more than our vet, she's a family member. We always make sure we hug her neck before we leave.

Great Staff. I brought my Shelty in for his shots and regular exam. This is the first time that I have used these guys since I moved north. Everything seemed on the up and up and the staff were real friendly. They gave Rudy a free treatment of advantix witch I hadn't expected. Ill definitely take him back.

Don't go!. Don't go to South Branch Pet & Bird or Wellsbranch Pet & Bird. I've taken my 2 cats and my 5 year old catahoula hound to these people, and the service was always so-so. They try to sell you every extra possible, and unless you have a coupon, prepare to pay lots of money for very basic services. After going for nearly 5 years, I will never go there again.

The last time I went, it was to take one of my cats for routine vaccination boosters. When I got home with my cat after the visit, she immediately began getting sick repeatedly. This worried me because an allergic reaction to the shots can be serious, and so, I called. Guess what happened then? After explaining the situation, I was put on hold because they had a customer on the other line with a billing question. They kept me on hold for several minutes, and it became obvious that they cared more about getting paid than about helping animals.

When the woman finally came back to the phone to "help" me, she was very uncaring and impatient. She told me this happens all the time, but if I wanted to, I could bring my cat back in to be looked at. Right! Like I was going to take my cat back there!!

My cat is fine now, and will stay that way cause she won't be seen by them ever again. If I could give them negative stars I would.

----update

When finding a new vet, they were supposed to have sent my pet records when I requested, but they didn't. To add to this, they now don't have any records, or even a routine visit, for my cat. So, not only did they not send my records to the new clinic, but it seems they "misplaced" the records.

This is serious headache. I'm moving into a newer and nicer apartment, and they require vet records. So, now I have to go and get all new vaccinations for my cat because there are no records of her previous shots.

Horrible!. The only reason they got one star is because there is no way togive them a negative star, otherwise they would have gotten one. We took our exotic pet to the Wells Branch pet and bird clinic and they murdered him. Before taking him there we called and very specifically asked if they had an exotic pet specialist and if they knew how to treat our specific pet. They told us that yes they had a specialist and that they did know how to treat our type of pet. When we got there we sat in the waiting room of this decrepit old building for about half an hour while our pet was really sick and dying, then they took us into the back room and left us there for about another half hour...when we arrived we were the only people there so there was no reason to make us wait so long. When I went to look out the door to see where the vet was, she was walking around talking to the staff very casually and going in and out of the back room. When she finally came to see our pet, she had no idea what it even was..she actually told us she had never even heard of it before. The only reason we went there was because they were the only place open that told us they had a specialist and our pet was in a bad way so it couldn't wait..if it could have we would have left. She went ahead and treated our animal, we stupidly thought even though she didn't know the animal that she had even the slightest bit of basic animal care knowledge. She gave him a few shots and charged us a ton of money..our pet died that night. After this experience I have talked to several other people that have taken animals there and to the south location as well who had their pets die after they treated them even for the simplest things. They also won't let you get away without trying to sell you every imaginable thing they can. I have no idea how this place is even allowed to operate, and who knows how many countless animals they have murdered. When you see the good reviews here, keep in mind that the employees are allowed to review as well.

Great Doctor. I took Katy to be seen. The doctor was thorough and explained a lot to me. They took care of her pretty quickly. We did spend some time there but it was from the doctor being in the room going over everything with me. Overall, I liked the staff and everything.

Caring vet and staff. I had to put my "Norma" to sleep. She was battling cancer. It was a very hard time in my life. The doctor spent so much time with me on all options and even made me right about all decisions we had to make. I would trust all of my pet's lives in her hands. When the time came, I was crying like a baby. She gave me tissue and gave me all of the time I needed. Dr. Wadhwani even got a little choked up. She really CARED!!! Everyone should go there!

BEST VET IN AUSTIN. I have been a client for years at this place and recently went to her other location. I always get exceptional care. They totally take care of my pets. Someone is always cleaning so it smells fresh and everyone that works there asks me how my babies are doing. I will never change!!!
