The Barrington At Park Place

A good place to live for the money. I actually enjoy living in the Barrington. It's not the most attractive apartment ever, it's pretty old. You can tell it was probably a nice place to live 10-20 years ago and hasn't been taken care of as well as it should have.

They have new management and I can definitely tell a difference. As soon as the new management started, they started painting the complex and doing more landscaping. There is still a lot to do, but at least they're trying.

The price is very low and usually you get what you pay for, but you get a lot more than you pay for here. It's pretty quiet (at least on my side of the complex), I have some new appliances, and it's safe. I feel comfortable walking my dog by myself at night, which is really important.

I highly recommend the Barrington if you need a cheap place to live that's also decent.…

WORST PLACE E VER. This place is a shithole. Do not live here. The management is awful. They don't care about their tenants. If only I could give this a zero-star rating. Every time I have had to call maintenance (which is often) it takes at least three calls before anyone will come out. Our air conditioner was broken all summer because the maintenance guy they kept sending out was a moron who did a half-ass job. The day I moved in, the apartment already had an ant problem, a broken window, a broken dryer and a leaky tub that was not fixed for a week.

Oh, and did I mention the quality people who live here? Every neighbor I've had has either had frequent loud parties, blared their music all day long, or stayed out on their balcony yelling till 3am. Not that the management has ever been effective in handling those issues either.…

Serious problems with the Barrington. Well were do i start, 2 weeks after i moved in the sewage line in the apartment above me broke and flooded my apartment with sewage water. After constant complaining they let me change apartments. I am currently filling a better business complaint against the staff and management. The current management is very unprofessional and does not know there own business practices. I recently became unemployed and called the office to see what the process was to break my lease. No one really seemed to know. when I turned in my 30 day notice using there form the leasing agent did not know how to fill it out. he tried to give it back to me blank. when i asked him to file it out he went into talk to the manager several times and still did not know what he was doing. I asked him about breaking the lease all he could say is that is was going to show up on my credit as a broken lease. I ask why and he had no answer. Later i called back to talk to the manager about all the inconsistent information i was getting. She told me something completely different and i asked her why no one knows your polices? she got up set and said she had only been in her position a month. I asked for her supervisors name and number but she refused to give it. There is definitely a lot of problems with the management of this property.…

HORRIBLE PLACE TO LIVE!. I can't even fit in 4000 words all the problems I have had living here. I also can vouch for hundreds of people that this is a horrible place to live. Problems I have had...I have lived here one year:

1) rodents (once they was poisoned, it died in the ceiling. They said there was nothing they could do about...our apartment smelled like a dead animal for a month. We had to leave for several days. They didn't do anything about it, I talked to them daily!

2) my washing machine leaked

3) my bathtub - to this day - leaks when you take a bath, thus all I can take is showers! It will flood the entire bathroom...they basically said "there is nothing we can do".

4) When someone above me takes a bath, water leaks through the ceiling and forms water "bubbles" under my ceiling paint. I actually have 2 right now - the size of grapefruits! I called...they didn't fix it.

5) They broke the key they had of mine in the office and claimed they tried to make a copy of the key I gave them, but it never worked...they wanted to re-key the apartment, we're still working with that.

6) People above me make so much noise and have music that vibrates the walls and floor. They sit on their porch and smoke and cigarettes fall on our balcony. Talked to management, they have done nothing. Combining it all we have talked to management and called the cops a total of 17 times.

9)When the really smart people that work there painted after the last person (more like threw paint in the general area of the wall) they painted over the cable outlet! The cable company had to re-install an outlet and charged us! It took 3 months for the Barrington to pay us back!
