The appetizers are pretty tastey.. Try the Shaqs BBQ Shrimp. They have a lot of alumni clubs watching games there. They have a great crew of bartenders. Lot's of drink specials every night. Whiskey Wednesdays are my favorite night because they have $3.50 Jack, Crowns, & Jamesons. Speaking of Jamesons on St. Patty's Day they're serving up $3.00 Irish Car Bombs. They recently starting picking up UFC. They need more fans for the fights so they are going to have to remind a lot more people out there that they are showing the fights. It's a great place for Rockets fans to hang out. The bar manager is from Houston & so he's good to Rockets folk. The kitchen is pretty quick. You only have wait times when they are slammed. During the Dallas / Greenbay game it was insane fun. The Thanksgiving game rocks as well because everyone else is closed. Good food & cheap drinks and lot's of friends just travelling through the hotel makes for good singles hang out.,
Got milk?.
Ok im not going to be negative. Like so many people can be, i mean these places are trying to make you feel good ok???? LoL.. It was decent, try the wings. I would of had a more pleasant time if i was there with a chick, but oh well.... Yes beep to be a bachelor 8-). Well anyways it was cool, and i think i might come around when the rockets play, and some texans games. Dont get confused by the 50 tvs you might start drinking more litterely<----- like that one. hahaha. Well i prefer the one in brenham, i guess, well not really. You should goto wingsn'more, and order a bake pototo if you dont like might post.

Greatest Sports Bar In The N. W. 'Burbs!.
You have to pay attention to your directions to find Legends, but once you do you'll: A) Never forget how to get there and, 2) Want to come back. This little gem is located inside the Holiday Inn, of all places (183 SB @ MoPac SB: on the service road).
As a recent transplant to Austin and an NFL fan, this place is Heaven on Sunday afternoons. 36 screens... all fed by NFL Sunday Ticket on satellite. They show every game! They even provide you a map of the TV's so you know where your favorite game(s) are going to be shown so you can grab a great seat.
The place fills up every week, but not so full as to prevent you from finding a place to kick back. If you know you'll need a table for one of the early games, just show up 15 minutes early and you'll be fine!
The food is your standard bar-fare: quesadillas, burgers, chicken tenders, etc.,... and the food prices are on-par with other competitors. The drinks are a bit pricey, but that's not surprising given how very little competition they have in this section of Austin and not out of line with what most places charge outside Happy Hour.
The guys behind the bar are great. The staff on the floor is good. On VERY rare occasion you may get a stinker, but management is REALLY good and responsive. I've never seen a lesser server last more than one weekend.
If you love the NFL, and you are homesick to see your favorite team play... go to Legends. Not only do they show every game, but there are usually fans present to cheer on every team every week.
For more than 50 years, this hotel's familiar green sign has signaled budget-friendly lodging for families and business travelers..
In Short
Since its 1952 debut in Memphis, Tenn., Holiday Inn has become one of the most recognized hotel brands in the world. Kids rule here: Children age 19 and younger stay for free when sharing a parent's room and as many as four children per family (age 12 or younger) eat for free at hotel restaurants. Other amenities include 24-hour business services, an in-room coffeemaker, iron, hair dryer, room service, a swimming pool and a fitness center.
Great atmosphere, great service. My husband and I went to this bar tonight and we love it. It was not crowded, has a lot of TVs, and the food and service there are great. We definitely will visit there again soon!
Don't understand the good reviews, not good at all.
Looking for a sports bar in Austin to see a game recently, we decided to try Legends. I was not at all impressed.
Negatives:
- hard to find
- it's in a Holiday Inn, and there were a lot of familes with kids there (this is at 10:00pm on a Friday night). It felt more like hanging out at Applebees than a sports bar.
- They have only one pool table and one dart board (both of which were taken up by kids when we got there).
- This may be a temporary problem, but it was really hot and stuffy inside. Maybe the A/C was broken, but it was uncomfortably hot inside, while it was a nice cool April evening outside.
- Service was very slow and unresponsive, though the two bartenders were friendly enough.
We're pretty new to Austin and haven't been to other Austin sports bars yet, but I can't imagine Legends being anywhere close to the best sports bar in Austin. I'd rank it below all of the half dozen or so sports bars I've been to in the Dallas area. I don't understand all the positive reviews--yeah, they have 30 TVs, but so what. As long I can see the game I want, I only need one TV, and everything about this place was terrible.
Best Undiscovered Sports Bar. It's not the BEST sportsbar but it is definitely the best undiscovered one. i have been here 3 times and never is anyone else there? There are 20-30 Tv's all showing different sports and they are very accomodating if you would like to watch football on the big screen when they are currently showing golf on it.. well it's not like anyone is going to complain? The bar food is good, all menu items are named after some icon like the Larry Bird Chicken sandwich, etc..If you're looking for a great place to watch a game that won't be crowded.. try this place!!! 183/360 in the Holiday Inn
My Favorite Sports Bar. Besides being non-smoking, Legends has a fun atmosphere, attentive waiters, lots of TVs, fair prices, tasty food, lots of parking spots, a variety of table sizes, and a good location in a safe area (though a little hard to find if it's your first visit). It also looks really clean inside. The only complaints I have would be the time it takes for the food to be prepared (but maybe it was just on a big game day) and the setting of some of the TVs to "panorama" screen mode so that players faces are stretched wider.
