6 years. I have been coming to the Duval and 183 location twice a week for over six years. The wait staff here is exceptional. They are always polite and have your refill before you notice that you need one! I love this Chuys and refuse to go to the other locations. Just wanted to give credit to waiters at Chuys Duval - you guys ROCK.

Food is awesome...almost outweighs the spotty service. The food at Chuy's is killer...so yummy. Their tortilla soup is heaven in a huge bowl and their burritos definitely are as big as your face. However, the service at Chuy's, especially during lunch on Thursdays and Fridays, is completely hit or miss.

Last Friday my co-worker and I (alotted ONE hour for lunch, no ifs ands or buts about it) were there for 80 minutes. We had two bowls of soup and a salad to go...there is NO reason that should have taken 80 minutes.

We had the complete displeasure of being waited on by Clint. Clint (who has a head the size of a bobble head doll) was all attitude and crankiness anytime we attempted to corral him. He charged us for WATER....I've worked in restaurants the better part of my existence...if I have any inclination to tip low or mention something to a manager, you had to be a truly HORRIFIC server. Clint was that guy. I did mention our issues to the manager...and she did the absolute right thing. She made sure that our bill was corrected and even comped our salad. Then Clint came over and informed us that HE had taken care of the salad. Until I said something to the manager, Clint wouldn't even acknowledge our presence at the table!

Today (a Tuesday), we returned for the exact same order...we were in and out in 35 minutes. That is the way Friday SHOULD have gone. If Clint is ever my assigned server again, I will demand someone else or leave. There is no way I need the condescending attitude of a human bobble head to ruin my lunch.

Looove CHUY'S!!!!!. Best Tex-Mex ever. Friendly fast service....love this place. Cheap too!!

Best Mexican Food Ever!. Awesome chips and salsa- all you can eat, and you can eat them while you wait for your table. Great drinks and our waitress was very friendly and helpful. The best food ever! Patio was great atmosphere- even for kids. Best salsa I've had at a mexican restaurant. Go try this place!

Best Tex Mex In Austin. Chuy's has the best, chips, salsa, queso and fabulous mango margaritas. I love coming here for lunch.

Yum Yum. I am not an expert on Tex-Mex, but I think Chuy's is declicious! I love the Chuychanga (Chuy's chimichanga). Expect a wait, but know that it'll be worth it.

Great!. We went to Austin for the Fourth of July holiday this past weekend, and ate at Chuy's every night. We had great food and wonderful service. When you're there, ask for Gracie (Gracie Lou Freebush) or Man (Jen). Both are wonderful servers and very attentive.

Best Margaritas. kids, kids, kis! Not in the Happy Hours area please! I love the place but when I go to relax, it doesn't feel right in the "drinking" area with all these munchkins that make me feel I need to watch my Ps & Qs. This is in bad taste, Come on Chuy's let's have some consideration for the adults.

Best Margaritas! Best Prices!. I love the margaritas at Chuy's but I do not approve of children in the Happy Hour area. The ambiance and language is not appropriate for children. If parents don't practice discreation, Chuy's should.

Yes, there is, too a wait!. There's always a wait. But the wait is always worth it. Really, really. I love, love, love Chuy's, despite what people might say about it being silly or overdone or anything else. Give me a mexican martini and some chicken flautas with no garnish and extra chipotle, and I am set! The wait staff is always great, and the queso rocks. It does get loud, so be prepared to yell. And try the flour tortillas! Bien ricas.
