Tips for Carrabba's

Are you kidding me?. I don't care if Carrabba's is a chain but being such, shouldn't they all be DECENT then? I used to go to the original ones in Houston and always had good food and service. This was my first venture to a Carrabba's outside of Houston and I was sorely disappointed. The hostess sat us down at a dirty table, our crab cakes took twenty minutes to come out (in fact, our salads came out before our appetizer), and our chicken parmesan was burnt. On top of everything, we were told by the manager that dessert was on the house because of the poor food. Dessert was the best part considering all it consisted of was vanilla ice cream, sugared pecans and store bought caramel syrup. When the bill came, our dessert was definitely not on the house but we were so disappointed by everything, we didn't say anything but simply paid and left. Haven't been back since.

An open kitchen churns out wood-fired pizzas and fresh-made pastas at this casual Sicilian-American chain.. In Short
Decorated with family photos of founders Damian Mandola and Johnny Carrabba, the open dining rooms pack groups of friends and extended families into four- and six-person tables and booths; smaller parties or couples can grab stools at the open kitchen's adjoining bar to watch chefs make dinner. The traditional southern Italian menu offers grill specialties like steak Marsala and fire-roasted chicken breast with sun-dried tomatoes; pasta dishes include fettuccine Alfredo and garlic-sauteed shrimp with linguine.

Love it!. Yes, its a chain.. I don't care. One of the best chicken dishes I have had is the Chicken Serrentino. Its not on the menu, its normally a special, but you can order it any time. It's amazing. I love the house salad with the creamy parmesian dressing. The Bread....what a diet killer...I can eat a loaf of it. You want a good Sirloin in an outstanding marsala sauce? The Sirloin Marsala medium rare is awesome. If you can eat a lot, ask for the Chicken Trio, not one of the chicken breasts will disappoint... This is one place I can eat at over and over again and not get tired of it.. and yes, I know..its a chain..

Brrr. This restaurant was freezing cold! We sat outside (it was a bit warmer outside) and had very slow service as a result. Our food came before our salads (out of order) and we rarely had drink refills. We ordered an antipasti platter sampler, and the mozzerella marinara was not good at all. It seemed like it was fried twice, or in too hot of oil, because the inside was not very hot but the outside was burnt. In contrast the calamari was great. I had the Mezza Luna and my date had eggplant parmesan. My pasta was good, but the tomato cream sauce was not. It was not properly mixed, and the oil was separating from the rest of the sauce. The eggplant was good, the accompanying pasta was fair. Overall this restaurant was not worth the $60.

Good Food!. I like this Carrabas alot. Very rarely do we have to wait for a table. The salads are ok, tho they always tend to be "out of season". I usually get the chicken topped with Goat cheese in a white wine butter sauce. Excellent!! The bellinis are to die for also..Service is ok.

Average. I wasn't impressed. It was too noisy, the tables were too close together and the food was average. We ordered Antipasta (which is always salami, mozzarella, olives etc) and it was cheesesticks and calamari. Must be a Texas- Italian Antipasta. Our waiter kept trying to take our plates before we were done which was very annoying. We won't be back.

yummy. All I can say is that this place is very yummy! The presentation of the food was great, food portions were just right - the management even came over to make sure everything was going good. Even went through the trouble of explaining how our food was prepared (even let us cook our own little pizza's even if they were only for the kids!) Great place, great food, great staff!

ok. I have been to this Carrabba's with friends a few times and the service was always great. The food is oily though! I think someone before me made the same comment!

Very good food. The menu offers good variety and most dishes are as good as they sound. The salads are worth the extra money, and their Tiramisu is the best I've ever had.

The service has always been good. The bar and the ambiance are a little lacking, but the food makes up for it.

Pretty damn good. No kidding folks, this is a very good italian resturant. I eat there often and have never been disappointed. Try the mussels in bianco, excellent as well as the Pollo Rosa Maria.
