Editorial Review for P.F. Chang's China Bistro – by Citysearch Editors

In Short
Towering twin stallions and carved wood screens add majesty and mystery to this stylish restaurant, where well-dressed patrons sip martinis at the bar and families with children feast around large tables or in spacious booths. The menu gives Chinese classics a contemporary tweak; dishes are artfully presented, with many sauces made tableside by servers. Signature plates include diced chicken wrapped in cool lettuce leaves, orange-peel beef with chili peppers, and wok-fried scallops with lemon sauce.

PF Changs doesn't deny that is is non traditional Chinese food - a little fusion, a lot of USA influence (as seen by the huge amounts of meat in the food). But you know what, it's good. They dishes are great, the speacial sauces is good and service is typically very friendly too. I love the orange peel beef and although I hate eggplant, really enjoy how they serve it. Also good is Changs chicken, green bean chicken with black bean sauce...and many others. The teas a great, drink usually a bit pricey but good too. With so many bad Chinese places in Austin, we find ourselves coming back here more and more.

My wife and I really enjoyed our trip to pf chang when we went a week ago. The decor is great, and the service quick, but it took 45 minutes to get seated. Also, for the portion size that we received, the price of the food was high. I would recommend to anyone who hasn't been before, and we will definitely return.
