In Short – Amy's Ice Cream has been a tradition since Amy Miller opened the first shop in 1984. With such homemade flavors as Mexican vanilla, sweet cream and, for the truly Texan, Shiner Bock, there's an ice cream concoction here for veryone. On warm evenings, a crowd of families and couples gather and the murmur of friendly chit-chat can be heard over the sound of paddles beating candy or cookie mix-ins into ice cream scoops.
GREAT LOCATION and Ice Cream
by Leelee84
I love Amy's Ice Cream and although this location is closer to my house, I aways go to the one on Burnet. For some reason, this location accepts checks and cash---but not DEBIT/CREDIT cards. Plus, they aren't open on Sundays!
- Pros: great location
- Cons: only accept cash or check
Family fun and great ice cream

I could not wait to go and try Amy's ice cream, it was well worth the wait. The ice cream guys were awesome and put on a great show. It is a fun, eccentric enviroment. It has a 1920's photobooth that was so much fun. If you are around here it is a MUST!!!!
- Pros: great ice cream, great service, very fun
- Cons: there isn't one up here in dfw :(
