Austin >Luxe Apothetique
Great service, great hair!. Michi and everyone there are amazing. They are friendly, professional, hip, and truly exhibit expertise in their field. The prices are pretty good, especially compared to most salons of that caliber around town. Michi also has a first-time coupon online for 25% off. It took very little time for them to get me in when I called and they were awesome. First, they offer you a drink (alcoholic or non-alcoholic). Then Michi helped guide me as I was looking for a different look but wasn't sure what to do. She did a great job and I fully trust her with my haircut or color. I even went back a few days later to add more bangs and she worked me in that same day and didn't charge me a dime; she worked on me for another 30 min or so, even washed my hair! While she's working she's funny, sweet, honest, and really makes you feel comfortable. I'm not going anywhere else anymore and I highly recommend you check her out!
Theresa has moved to Luxe!. If you're looking for Theresa from Avant Northwest, she has moved to Luxe at The Domain and still doing GREAT hair and color. Theresa is still passionate about her profession, and it shows in her work. If you're looking for someone who REALLY knows color and cut and remember's their client's hair texture, go see her. She's the best!
Michi - I will follow her anywhere!.
I can't even remember how long Michi has been taking care of my hair - that's how long it's been! I live in 78704 and there were times when she was really close by, but even when she was "way up north", I'd never switch stylists. THE BEST COLOR - THE BEST SYLE - THE BEST ADVICE ON CARE. I won't stop following Michi unless she winds up in Pflugerville.....okay, Round Rock....well, maybe Georgetown.
Do yourself a favor - get an appointment and find out for yourself.
Michi Lafary best hairdresser. Michi is amazing with color, and won't let me leave until it is perfect! I trust her completely. She has even called to check on me afterwards to make sure it's what I wanted!
Best all around Salon experience!. Michi Lafary as always is the best in the business! She continues to bring the best in color and style to Luxe Apothetique.
Michi has found a home at Luxe!!!. I have been going to Michi Lafary for many years now, and I just love her and her style! She does such great work, and my hair always looks amazing!!! She's fantastic with color, amazing with cutting and styling, and is up for whatever challenge you can throw at her. So if you're looking for an excellent stylist, go see Michi and let her work her magic.
Michi is in at Luxe!.
I cannot say enough about Michi's talents with hair, she is great! I am always happy with the hair cuts and styling from Michi so I am glad that she is now at a great salon here at the Domain. I have been going to Michi for a couple of years and will continue to follow her wherever she does hair because; she is a truly talented hair stylist and a very caring person. Michi is also very knowledgeable with hair products and will recommend products that are good for your type of hair making the whole experience fabulous!
I highly recommend her to anyone that wants to have a great cut and styling!
Michi at Luxe.
Michi has been my hair person for several years now. I have followed her around everywhere she has gone. I am an entrenched South Austin-ite; and I have gone up the highway, crossing the dreaded river and scary 2222, to see her. I will probably send ninjas to find her if she ever tries to leave the city. Nah, that's just creepy. But you get my point, she's quite good. You know it when someone has stopped you randomly at a 7-11 to remark that you are gleaming beautifully in the sun - even though *you* know that you are due for a new color or touch-up at the roots. You know that you've found a winner. Ding!
After a while, it got to the point where I just showed up and specified the length (I am still attached to my long hair!) and told her to do what she wanted regarding the style and color. You can trust her. She'll also tell you if you have hair damage and it just needs to go, and the things you should/can do about it. She sees how to make people look like the best "them" they can be. Especially if she gets to know you. Kind of like a hair doctor - no nonsense.
You need to get on the phone, right now, and book an appointment to get color and styling and cutting and all the things that hair people do. She makes my hair soft and nice and I am the most vain about its awesome-ness when its freshly done before I wash it. She can do this with any product, so it's just technique, folks. I can't say enough good things about her!
Go to Luxe, check it out!
Mariana is the best. I don't know how anyone could have a bad experience with Mariana. She is one of the best colorist you'll ever find. Mariana literally saved my hair about three years ago and I wouldn't trust anyone else to touch it now. My hair had been ruined by another salon and was over processed and literally had no color left to. Mariana gradually and cautiously returned my hair back to a real color and a healthy state. I can't imagine her doing anything damaging to anyones hair and she's always cautious and recommends a natural look. She certainly wouldn't make anyone paid for changing something they weren't happy with. Mariana is professional and classy. The receptionist there is always friendly and accommodating and offers you anything from water, to wine and mimosas, who could not love that!? The store itself is a cheeky little shop at the Domaine and though I haven't purchased anything there, I enjoy looking at the cute goodies on my way in and out of the salon. Staff is always friendly. It's true that you wouldn't know this gem of a salon was ever there without being 'in the know' but once you know, you'll have to share your secret with your friends.
Mariana gave me stripper highlights. I asked Mariana to give me a natural partial highlights (no blonde) on my medium brown hair and to touch up my roots. Result: black roots and blonde highlights. She said I looked fabulous! The best part of the experience was the mimosas that I drank while my hair was ruined. I paid $135 for the color work plus more money to have it repaired...she let me know that I could return if I needed any touch up work, generous, but judging from her interpretation of natural I opted for another salon for the repair.
