Awesome Salon!!!!!. This salon is awesome. Very friendly and personal, always clean and they have great deals. Month to month for $25 per month and I can use any bed. The salon across the way kept ratcheting up the price every time they showed me a different bed, very confusing.

Highly recommended!!!!

Rude kid at the front desk. Well, where do I begin... I recently received a gift certificate for 1 month of free tanning. So I signed up with some guy who was extremely nice. He stated that he was the owner. That great, since I own a real estate company and an upscale hair salon downtown on 5th and San Jacinto... I was pleased to see that he took pride in his little business. However, my third time to tan, I was greeted by this little blonde girl with scraggly hair who said "what?s your name" in a ill manor while signing me in. I then told her I wanted to purchase a bottle of tanning lotion because the company I purchase it at for a wholesale price didn?t have my particular brand ..known as..."HEMPZ". (TRY IT).. This little girl then said, sir, you need to not use tanning lotion in our tanning bed as it cracks the acrylic. I said, excuse me.... She said, sir, someone said that you used outside tanning lotion in our tanning bed (there is a note on your account) lol ! I was a little shocked since I had tanned dry the first 2 times I went. I was even more shocked when I told her, " I haven't used any type of lotion in your beds", and obviously I didn?t own any considering the fact that I was buying it on my third time. She quickly replied "well, someone said you did".. Lol I do resent the fact that I clearly told her the truth and she implied that I still used this "outdoor" lotion. If one of my employees spoke to my customer or a potential client like that, I would most likely reprimand them, or fire them. Young lady, if you read this, im the guy in the black cadillac... Be a little more polite and i might hook you up with a cut and color so that we can fix that mess on your head. Your attitude on the other hand, well, i'm no miracle worker!! CHEERS!

Love it!. Yes, there is an upscale tanning place across the parking lot, but I DESPISE them. One time I went in to tan and they harassed me about my lotion asking me to show it to them and begging me in the most annoying way to purchase a much more expensive one. At Great Hills, the staff and owner are very friendly and not demanding, pushy, or annoying. Sure the beds don't have all the the bells and whistles, but who cares--they get the job done! I am not sure about a previous reviewer who mentioned it was hard to get out of contract because I have gone to Great Hills every summer for the past 5 years and I do month to month....no contracts! Unlike the snobs across the parking lot--and better yet, no initiation fees. Great Hills is by far my favorite place to tan and I would never consider giving my money to any other salon.

great customer sevice, super cute owner and office staff, crappy hours. When I decided to get a tanning membership I noticed two salons next to eachother, one looked very upscale all the bells and whistles the other old outdated and kind of intimidating. (like a hole in the wall only regulars feel comfortable walking thru the front door). So I decided to call both of them asking why I should choose the one salon over it's competitor. Both same price for what I was looking for (good), Well Great Hills said that they had the best customer service by far and that there are very rarely lines. So I called the other salon and the girl sounded "confused" and said, ummmmmm . . . . I don't know. . . .tehehehe. . . uhhhhh. So that was it I hung up laughing hysterically (sp?) and proceeded to Great Hills Tan where I signed up and was very impressed with their customer service, they call you by your name everytime you leave (who doesn't like hearing their own name!?!) . BUT what the girl at the "other" salon left out was their extended hours. Great Hills Tan opens kind of late in my opinion, I like to tan before I go to work and they do not open until after I have to be here. I cancelled my membership and now go to the "other" salon and am a VERY HAPPY girl. I feel like a celebrity there Its soooo nice and fresh, love it love it love it :) Nothing wrong other than hours at Great Hills its a fine salon I emphasize the "fine" (just blah) OHHHHHH I almost forgot I DONT THINK THEY ARE USING REAL MYSTIC TAN solution. I used level 3 everytime and 95% of the time looked like level 1 I would leave it on for 16+ hours and nothing! That . . . . and it washed off so EASILY- I was taking 5 minute showers for the 3 months I belonged there! Talk about a stinky mystic girl :) So yes Great Hills is "Okay" but take my advice and go across the street until they extend their hours, update their salon and their products.

Cusotmer Service. Please be sure to read the contract, especially on month to month drafting. My experience with Great Hills wasn't pleasant. I had to go through loops to cancel my membership.

AWESOME!!. This place is awesome! There are no start up or cancellation fees, and you can use all levels of beds. It's not as large as some of the other tanning places, but I've never had to wait.

The owner is so friendly and helpful.

On the downside (and the only downside in my mind) there is another girl who works there who seems entirely disinterested and looks like she'd rather be somewhere else. But she doesn't ruin the experience.

Definitely check it out, it's awesome!
