Doesn't have it. This place is terrible. Why? Well, no beach chairs. So no place to sit. You are never comfortable. No real place to eat. Only one junk place. If you come from Miami like I do you can only laugh. Women put their towel on soon as they come out of the water hiding their bodies like it was at a 15th century Catholic nun's school. And, if you dare say anything to anybody from Texas about the situation they will tell you leave instead of saying how can we improve the situation. Oh well.…
Summertime Place to Be.
You can't miss this place if you're in Austin during the hot summer months. It's the best place to take a dip in cool water. Barton Springs Pool is a mix of everything.. an oasis in the middle of a
lush park, views of downtown Austin, and the best people-watching in all of Texas.
When you're not in the water, find a spot to hang out by the diving board. You'll see some good divers, massive belly-flops, and kids mustering the courage to jump. Can't be it!…
Nice but its not all its cracked up to be.... It is a nice place, but i personally thought it was dirty and very stinky. Its very crowded on weekends. Not what i was expecting. maybe it was the day i went on (sunday afternoon)?
Best place for cooling off in the summer heat. Most of the water areas in Austin are quite warm in the summer due to the weather heating up the water. But Barton Springs is one place you can rely on being refreshed and able to hop in water that will actually cool you off. Great for kids, families of all kinds. I know someone that swears by the healing powers of the water here as well. Large enough area that even during busy days its not overcrowded. A great day outing.…
