In Short – A sign at the entrance to the course militantly enforces the ban on joggers and walkers. The two-lane paved route, which winds around 3.1 miles of Hill Country landscape, is perfectly designed for the outdoor-type. The speed way trail weaves through switchbacks and shortcut routes surrounded by live oak, cedar, prickly pear, yucca and the occasional "Snake Crossing" sign. Its proximity to the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center is a marvelous plus.

When to Go:
Starting around March, spring blooms cover the Veloway and surrounding areas in wildflowers, making for colorful riding.
