Citysearch Editorial Review. The beloved Stacy Park runs along East Side Drive from the large swimming pool at the south end to the wading pool and recreation area at the north end. An old-time Austin staple, the pool has been around since it was built by the Works Progress Administration in the 1930s. Warm, open year round, and well-fed, Stacy Park is super popular with lap swimmers, and boasts enough run and bike trails to wear out joggers and accompanying dogs.

Run & swim. This is a great lap pool. If you prepare you can jog at Town Lake straight to the back area of this pool and finish your outdoors work out with a refreshing swim.
