Editorial Review for EZ's Brick Oven and Grill – by Citysearch Editors

In Short
You're already in line when you enter. On your left, the giant menus dazzle. This architectural update of a '50s-style burger joint is colorful and comfy for kids and grown-ups. Big, flame-grilled beef patties are still on the menu (examples include bean burgers and chili burgers) and are joined by hearty, fresh-cut fries and thin, hand-battered onion rings. Thin crust, brick oven pizzas come in individual and share-me sizes.

Insider Tips

The Extras

Sodas are all-you-can-drink from a self-serve fountain. Shakes are thick and come in a variety of flavors--cookies-and-cream to plain vanilla.

Parking

The lunch crowd is huge. Space fills up quickly in the parking-challenged Central Market area, so get there early or late.

A bit on the informal side, but great place, decorated like a dinner, drive or dive place. Its were you will see lots of college and highschool kids hang out after classes. Portions are generous and service is rather quick. Try the Rosemary Chicken it is GREAT

Pros: Great food, good prices

Cons: Its always packed

EZs is basically a 50's diner with a brick oven. You can come there and have one of their great malts and burgers, or maybe have a tasty pizza or calzone. Either way... you have choosen wisely! This place is ever better for students where you can get a 10% or 15% discount as long as our order is over $6 or $7 bucks. So if you are a student and you were debating on getting those fries or that shake... go for it! EZs is ever great if you want to relax with some friends outside nad enjoy the weather. I strongly recommend this place to anyone in Austin that hasn't checked it out atleast once.

Pros: Pizza made in a brick oven!
