Decent dog park.
This is the first dog park I have taken my puppy to and overall it was a pretty good experience. We have gone twice this week.
If my puppy was to do this review she would say she loved it. There are many different kinds of dogs and the pet owners are very friendly. There are also bag dispensers for your dog's waste. There were also many places for the pups to get water so you don't have to bring your own. Me and my boyfriend did not have to worry about seating because there were chairs and picnic tables everywhere!
The only problem I had with this park is some of the irresponsible dog owners. There was a dog that attacked another dog and made his eye bleed. The owner of that dog did not even think it was a big deal and he kept his dog in the park.
There was also a dog with a muzzle on his nose. The owners of this dog took the muzzle off and the dog then attacked my puppy.
I want to continue to go to this park so if your dog is dangerous please take it here and put the other dogs in danger.
Norwood dogpark ROCKS ! ! !. They have recently installed running water which is a great bonus. Can get dusty in the summer time, but a great park, full of friendly people and always packed with dogs. They have a small fenced in area for all the small dogs as well. Don't forget to pick up after your dog !
The name indicates an upscale locale, but it's more about slobber than swank..
In Short
This fenced, dirt-trodden patch of land at the northwest corner of Riverside and IH-35 serves as a favorite gathering place for local pups. Visitors have provided the basics and continue its upkeep by leaving patio chairs, picnic tables and dog bowls. Dogs of all sizes, IQs and training backgrounds play there. Don't wear anything that you wouldn't want accessorized with muddy paw prints.
great for my dog. It is a good place for my dog to run and run and run he is still a pup and has so much energy we go there for just 30-45 min and he comes home and is ready for a nap and is calm all day it is great he gets to play with other dogs and pepole the only thing i can say is that it needs running water but other than that it is a 10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great place to play.
It's the only fenced in dog park in Austin (to my knowledge), which is good if your dog likes to run away. It's a lot of fun when it gets really busy. At times there are more than 50 dogs and their owners in this small area, so it can get crowded, but it's alright because everyone is nice and glad you're there. Take water because there is no running water there and the dogs often run out.
Overall great place to meet people and let your dog blow off some steam and play with others.
A dog's life. This is such a great place to bring your dog on a nice day. I wish there were more gated leash-free areas like this in town. It's a good place to meet people who also love their dogs and the variety of dogs at the park provides lots of entertainment.
Doggie meet market. Who says you need to go to a grocery store to meet people? Everything happens at the dog park, and this dusty, gated stretch of land is canine heaven. Bring well-behaved dogs and some water. Then you're free to chat with other single dog owners ... "You have a lab? Hey, I have one too."
