Went for the gospel brunch on Sunday. Come hungry to get your $$ worth! Loud but fun. Brisket and migas were standouts. Bloody Mary bar!

pretty good. It wasn't quite as good as I'd been told it would be, but we went on a Friday and that's not usually a good night to judge service. The food was pretty good when we went, I'd like to give it another try on a weekday.

Stomach ache. My new husband and I decided to visit this place on a Sunday because he has heard so much about it. The ambience was nice and I was really forward to dining here. We were sooo dissapointed, the waiters were VERY rude and just sitting around by the bar. The food was very mediocre. We had ordered the chicken, ribs, brisket with sides and appetizers of green tomatoes and chile con queso. The ribs were dry and so was the brisket. My spinach/cheese was so spicy that I couln't eat it. The mashed sweet potates were good but came with pecans which wasn't on menu and big problem for me since I'm allergic. The fried green tomatoes were decent except batter was so spicy that it cancelled out any real taste. Even my water was bad, it tasted like rubber.

The service was so bad that and rude that we were almost afraid to ask for our bill. Even the couple in the next table said the same thing

The best things were the chicken and chile con queso.

Just because it's a "famous" music place doesn't mean that the management should let everything go by the wayside. Never going back...Yucky

Melt-in-your-mouth brisket coupled with some of the best music in town.. In Short
Housed in an historic building, the hardwood floors and wooden seating provide the perfect setting for the hickory-smoked barbecue. The tender pork and beef ribs are popular with Stubb's diners, and can be ordered by the half-rack or rack. During the Sunday Gospel Brunch, the barbecue buffet is a heavenly scene. Stubb's lays out a spread of breakfast entrees and barbecue favorites, complete with potato salad, pickles, onions and Stubb's own brand of barbecue sauces.
