One of the best bars in Austin!!. I hadn't been to Red Fez in a while and I forgot what an awesome bar it is!! Me and my girls went recently on a Saturday night and had the best time...the music was great, DJ was awesome, and the crowd was totally into it. I also don't know any other place in Austin you can smoke Hookahs, so fun!! Yeah, a bar in Austin that's still doing it's own thing, and not just all hip hop and top 10 radio music!!

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday. Security guards plus the people walking past the 30 other people waiting in line and getting in as if they were VIP's... puh-lease. I did not see any reason for anyone to get any special service up in there. Pretty much looked like we were all on even ground.

The only thing weaker than the long wait, and the door man taking bribes, was the mixed drink.

I'm so sorry to hear that you didn't have a great time, tacotx. Thank you for the input - please stop by again we'll make you feel at home.

This Warehouse District lounge is marked by distinctive Middle Eastern decor and a boisterous crowd of young revelers.. In Short
Lines are long, the music is fast and the crowd of college students and young professionals is loud and energetic at this New York-style lounge. Dark Middle Eastern interior and reasonably priced cocktails make it a good place to stop for a drink or two. The Latin-infused techno music isn't so loud that folks can't have conversations at the red velvet booths and tiled tables. Later in the evening, patrons dance at the small dancefloor near the entrance.

I Love this bar every night!!!!. This is probably my favorite bar in Austin, every night seems to have something awesome going on. I understand how some people get turned off by the long lines, but check out it out during the week for really cool live music, Djs and hookas. Ask for Jenna or Max the manager behind the bar, they always give great service and make you feel welcome.

Fun Bar. Man... there some bitter people down there. Hey - I'm sorry they wouldn't let you in because "You are friends with Matt Lucky". Here in Austin, they have whats called "Fire Code" so they can't let in more people than the code allows. The best way to avoid the line is to GET THERE EARLY. Red Fez has great DJs, real (non-watered down) drinks, and the crowd is a lot of fun. Its a great place to dance, drink and have a good time. The staff has always been nice to me and I really enjoy it there. I'd recommend that you stop by and judge for yourself.

Rude staff. I went here on one of the Arabian Nights (which was a wonderful production by Zein), but the staff was beyond rude when you asked them for drinks, hookahs, anything. Also, the hookah I rented had lots of black particles in the smoke, it was so gross. Definitely not the best sheesha I've had-this place can't even compare to the Hookah Cafe in New Orleans. Maybe if they put half the effort they put into their attitudes into learning how to prepare a hookah, I don't know...

Go somewhere else!. Red Fez is fun, it's a cool place. But the manager (Aaron) and the bouncers are so rude you want to spend your money some place else! It's a shame, the potential is awesome. I think sometimes it's forgotten that this is Austin, and it is okay be cool, friendly, and have fun. Sorry guys, this isn't LA or anything! Chill out!!

I would take your business somewhere else, Austin has amazing bars/dance clubs etc., so go find some good ones!!! (Plus, you won't have to wait in an unnecessary line!).

User review by blondie1980. Don't plan your celebrations here!! I had made a reservation for a private party here over a month in advance. They had assured me that everything would be ready for that night. I even had guests come in from out of town. We arrived at Red Fez and they said that because it was too crowded, they couldn't honor our reservation. Obviously, they haven't grasped the definition of the word "reservation." Also, the bouncer was extremely rude. You should definitely skip this teeny bopper club and go somewhere more classy.

Sunday Night Crowd. I enjoy going to The Red Fez on Sunday nights. DJ Kurupt hooks it up on the 1's and 2's with the latest and greatest in Hip-hop. The service is excellent as well. Kevin is always friendly at the door, and once you're inside, you can guarantee great service from Damon and Randy at the bar!! The atmosphere is excellent, and I would recommended this spot to anyone who wants to get some last minute partying in before the busy work week!
