Editorial Review for TG Canoe Livery – by Ben Niekerk
Facts
Fed by crystal clear waters of Aquarina Springs, the San Marcos River is 72 degrees annually and has never failed to flow across its limestone bed. Canoers and kayakers meander through the natural rugged beauty while respecting the power of river's rapids. Shallow access to the bank is often limited, so enjoy a tube-free stretch of river.
The Experience
With names ranging from Old Mill and Cottonseed to Broken Bone, these first- and second-class rapids are sure to excite the novice and please the expert. Paddlers enter a 260-mile stretch of combined rivers which make up the course of the world-famous Texas Water Safari that leads racers to the Gulf of Mexico. TG's rental area covers the San Marcos from City Park in San Marcos to the Staples' FM 1977 bridge. Kayak and canoe rentals include water entries and exits along the way and trips of various lengths and diversity. TG's will also pick you up and return you to your Pecan Park or Shady Grove campsite.
