First of all, I didn't even know this place existed until I searched out Christina Crawford on a friend's recommendation. This little store is tucked away by Central Market. VERY CUTE LITTLE STORE! Everyone way really friendly while I waited for my appointment. I have had such a hard time finding a good stylist, but I am finally thrilled with my hair. You can tell she really loves what she does. After my appointment, someone who worked in the retail section helped me find a new shampoo and conditioner. I was looking at Pureology (oh, how I love it.... but the price tag is just too high right now), but a dark-haired girl there helped me find something on sale. She recommended the Halo, which I do like and it was a quarter of the cost. Then she gave me lots of samples and an orange card so I can earn free stuff. I loved my first experience at this little store and will be going back to do some shopping soon.

I had an overall bad experience with this place. The staff are not very friendly or helpful. Terrible customer service. Then, the lady who cut my hair, rushed through, did a terrible job, and then charged me $65! I mentioned to her that it didn't look right and she blamed it on my hairline and then said I should take a few days to get used to it. I've had the same hairline my whole life, and it's looked good with past haircuts, so I don't think it was my hairline. I felt like she was just making excuses and seemed in a real hurry to get me out of there. She also didn't speak English very well, so it was very difficult to communicate with her. The next day I asked some friends to look at it and they all agreed that it did not look straight in the back and was not blended very well in the front. I also had to get out the scissors and cut off some strands of hair that were obviously much longer than everything else. WTF? I called the salon and spoke with the stylist. I told her I wanted my money back so that I could go someplace else to get my hair fixed. She refused. She said I could come in again and she would fix it, but I do not trust her to go near my hair with scissors ever again. I also feel that for a $65 haircut, it should look great, and I should not need to go back and get it fixed. I was very calm when speaking with her on the phone, but she got upset and accused me of harassing her because I was calling her from my cell phone which doesn't have a local area code, and she had to call me back, "long distance." So apparently that is harassment. Anyways, long story short, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE unless you want to pay $65 for a haircut that looks like it should have cost $20.

I have done my shopping in here for a while now, and I have always been happy with The B.S.. I am always greeted (Sometimes in unison by multiple girls... It's kind of funny) and asked if I need help when I walk in. Any time I need a recommendation, the staff is always more than happy to help me. You can tell they really use the products and know what works and what does not (They recommended ALTERNA Thickening Compound for my fine hair last time.... and I love it). They seem to keep the same staff for a while, which really helps, I think. They frequently run specials like "Buy One, Get One" on hair products and candles. Also, they always have my Jane Iredale in stock and when I needed help finding a new color, I was given all the help I needed. They helped me find the right color and a new Make up brush for it. Last time I was in there, one girl was helping with a customer that was freaking out because her hairspray stopped spraying. She admitted to having it a while but told the girl she did not understand why they sell faulty products. The sales person fixed the hairspray for the woman, but she was not happy with this so she was given a discount on a new one. I thinks the sales staff was very nice to, what seemed to me, to be a very rude customer. The only bad things I can see about the B.S. is the way they answer the phone (you should call them... its funny), and many of the other customers seem a little high-maintenance for me.
