In Short – Soft, golden light infuses the dark, burnished interior, with lots of dim corners for lovers to nestle into. Tawny woods, sienna-colored columns and satiny maroon booths are offset by honey-hued chandeliers and crisp white tablecloths. Couples, business associates, and the well-heeled populate the sedate space. The New York strip is dusted with salt and pepper and sizzled around the edges. Tuna mignon rolled in crushed peppercorns is quickly seared; inside, it's still sushi-pink.

Usually a good experience but not last night. Meal began very well in bar area with wine and lobster appetizer. It was a tad chilly and when moved to dining area it was freezing cold! Noticed other diners were wearing their outer coats (not to be confused with a suit jacket) and my husband put on his lether coat to keep wam. Darryl, the manager, laughed it off saying he was wearing a wool suit. Said he would turn up heat. We felt unheard. Sorry but I am not going to spend an evening at a place where we ordered a $180 bottle of wine eating with my outer wear on. E might as well been sitting outsite. We ended up leaving without dinner. Yes it was a cold evening outside but an extremely nice restaurant should not be so cheap to not turn on heat for patrons.

Flemmings is great and if you can afford it I recommend you try it and if you cant I recommend you try it on Sunday. The Prime Rib deal on Sunday is the best and the meat is execellent, the post who said otherwise must have been a one and a million shot because its always a great cut. Still the deal is great as you get a salad and side AND dessert all for one price, everything is usually a la cart, which can get high. All and all great deal for a Sunday meal.

My husband and I have been going to Flemings regularly since we moved to Austin over 3 years ago. We love the food, which has always been outstanding and delicious, but the service is the real reason we frequently return. You have to ask for Taylor! Not only is he one of the best servers we have ever had, but he provides the most personalized service one can achieve. He knows everything we like and nails it every time. So next time you go to Flemings to enjoy one of those phenomenal filet's, make sure you pair it with Taylor for a perfect night out!
