B. D. Riley's Irish Pub has been running their live trivia contest on Wednesdays since they opened back in 2000. It starts promptly at 8pm and ends at 10pm, perfect for a weeknight. Individuals can play, but most people form teams (of any size) to make sure they have experts on all topics. They do 2 rounds of 25 questions of live trivia on a wide variety of topics, from sports to movies, to history, geography and local news. It costs nothing to play--Grand prize is a $100 gift certificate, and there are also 2nd, 3rd place prizes and a "Dublin Sweepstakes" prize--if you pick the winning team name out of a hat your team gets a prize too. John the pub owner is the QuizMaster & host. The pub tends to fill up by 7:30 so get there early to secure a table for your team.
