We LOVED The Austin Folk House. It was like staying at an exclusive art gallery with the all the comforts of a high end hotel. The rooms are delightful and we loved the extras--new mattresses, fluffy towels and even shower gel! The place was great but what could beat getting a great cup of coffee and going to sit on the porch on a beautiful spring morning. The breakfasts we enjoyed were some of the best ever--especially the raspberry French toast...Yum.

I loved each of my two stays at the Austin Folk House. The rooms are elegant and luxurious and the entire B & B is full of extraordinary art from the owner's private family folk art collection. In fact, the place is a lot like an art gallery in its' rich and inviting display of paintings, sculpture and objects of art. The bathrooms are full of great products and all the amenities of a luxury hotel. And, breakfast is outstanding...I'd love to have some of Sylvia's recipes! I will definitely return for more visits and each time plan to stay in a different fabulously-appointed, art-filled room.
Pros: art, luxury, breakfast
