I love Ciola's!. Thanks to everyone at Ciola's for the great food and service. We had a great time at Ciola's during our recent visit to Austin. The service was excellent and the waiter, Josh I think, was superb. The food was just wonderful and we came back two nights later to have dinner again! Tommy is an excellent manager and so gracious with his customers. The chef’s in the kitchen make the food soooo delicious. We hope to come back next time we visit Austin.

Decent Italian for TX. For all of you groaning and moaning about what's authentic Italian and what's not, I got a message for you: get off your high horse and enjoy the food. First of all, you're in TX, Lakeway, no less and you're expecting what? The food at Ciola's is great for what it is. I grew up in NY/NJ for most of my life and as an ex restaurateur from NY the food at this establishment is better than most places in TX. I don't live in Austin but I try to stop by here whenever I go out there since Italian food in Houston is disappointing. BTW, the wine selection, for the caliber of this place, is impressive. I highly recommend Ciola's to anyone looking to get a good Italian mean.

Wickty Wick Wack Italiano. My Martini tasted like olive oil My Veal Parm reminded of me of what you get at Rays Pizza on the corner of 57th and third ave for lunch (not even the real rays but a biteoff rays for you NYers) The wine was decent.

I went here as it was close to my new home, but mostly because the citysearch reviews said it was the best "old school".

The waiter who was actually very nice and fairly attentive asked us if we knew what oscobucco (spell) was as it was very "italian" and corresponded with this wonderful special dish..IT WAS WACK!!!

As a new Austin resident I am trying to be all peace love and harmony but truly would like to invite the "jersey" Tony Saprano types I used to live next door to down to Austin to taste the crap at Cialos as the reaction would be very funny.

I dont mind paying money for food even overpriced food (I know dumb) but I mean really..this was just bad.

The waiter mentioned that it was one of the best "upscale resteraunts"..

I was warned by friends from NE that live here too that I should not expect to get decent italian but come on guys!! Veal Parm?

The reviews for mizo sushi in lakeway are all "outstanding" as well!! Why do I think I am going to be disapointed.

I HATE BAD FOOD.. buzz kill.

This is now our favorite place!. We've been going here for a while because the food and service are top notch, but always hated the smoke. We heard they were doing some renovations so we went in to check it out. The bar is now non smoking and I can finally enjoy my favorite Italian food and watch a game with all their new flat screen tv's. It also looks like they're making a nice patio outside with a big screen tv out there as well. We are looking forward to lounging out there the next time we're in!
