UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP--NO SURRENDER STUDIOS II. Great News...this shop is now under new ownership. Joey Bones finally sold out and left town. Good riddance Joey! Zack Ross, a phenomenal artist, took over in August 2009. New name is No Surrender Studios II. What a huge difference...the shop is completeley redecorated, big screen TV, pool table, great paint job, very clean, etc. Most important, the shop is now staffed with Zack's crew--all award winning artists. Zack also owns No Surrender Studios just off the square at 142 S. LBJ. You gotta check these guys out at NoSurrenderStudios.c** Zack is gonna be famous one day!

Joey is a PERV. Overpriced and overstated. The worst part of the whole experience is that Joey Bones is such a perv! And many women have been victims of sexual harassment by him! Don't throw money into this shop.

Best Place to get a Tattoo. I happened upon this tattoo shop when my friend got some amazing work done and recommended it to me. It is open late, which was very appealing to me, the shop was exceptionally clean and the serivce was spectacular. Everyone working there was courteous and helpful (which I have rarely encountered before in tattoo shops). I got a piece done by Joey for a more than reasonable price and I get compliments on it all the time... I highly recommend this shop to everyone, I know I'll be heading back there soon!

Only place to go unless you want small town antics. I personally have worked for Joey Bones on and off for about 2 years now. I must say that in the time that I have been there he has won 7 awards since buying the tattoo studio from a well known well liked artist in the area. What people forget is that Joey used to be in the cool circle of the people that keep trying to slander him so he will leave. FACT, we have won 3 awards in which the haters from down the road either judged the contest or supported him in doing so. As for she devils comment. Notice it has one comment only ever made. Im sorry to say that was made again to try to give him a bad name since they cannot attack his work personally. I will make it my job from here on out to have multiple persons from the studio post here about how awesome the studio is. In fact it was in horrible condition when it was first baught and now look it after 2 years. Seems like its here to stay and the haters better get used to it.

Avoid unless you are going to see Myles. Great place to go when this was Steel Angel but now....there is a certain individual at this place that gives the biz a bad name. I have had Myles tattoo me and he is incredible...very talented and takes pride in what he does. The other very large individual is a smart __, rude and his tattooing skills are lacking. Had a tattoo done with him with a pic and some writing underneath...I am now having to have the tattoo redone at a different location....it was horrid and I was embarassed about even letting anyone see it and then pain of the odor I had to endure for the three hours was enough to knock someone out. I do not recommend this place at all...will never go back and I think whoever owns it needs to reconsider some of the people they hire to work for them...if he is the owner he should consider shutting down.

Used to be a great shop.... ...Steel Angel was a great shop, then Trace from Live Electric bought them out, and it was a great shop then as well, but Trace then sold it to an unscrupulous tattoo artist. Unfortunately, it is no longer a good shop...

rocks my world. i got a piece done by eric that i designed and i couldn't be happier. it turned out exactly the way i wanted it, and i couldn't have asked for a better artist. also props to meredith for being a great piercer. who knew it didn't have to hurt to get holes put in your body. everyone there is a rock star!

best tattoos. This is the place to get tattooed if you want a real artist to do the work! I was totally blown away with the piece he did for me.
