I have been consigning with Kids Korner for several years. I just love this store. It is unfortunate that this women had this experience. If the store doesn't want to take an item and tells you to bring it in the fall then you should do that. They have expertise when brown and black shoes sell best and that would be the fall. I take all my excellent items to Kids Korner and I make plenty of money. Of course, I usually spend it back in the store. They sell only the best when it comes to kids clothing. I would highly recommend this store to shop and consign. They are my first choice to shop when it comes to outfitting my kids on a budget.
Pros: great prices and nice clothes
Cons: i can only go twice a month with my work schedule

I dropped off items for Summer consignment in June of 2007 and it was my first time consigning items with Kids Korner. There were immediate signs of problems during my 'consultation' on the items that I had brought in. Let me just say that I have consigned plenty of other places and knew what to expect. First, they did not write down or list any of the items that were accepted for consignment. Then I signed the contract and some other papers and was not provided copies of anything. Second, I had items that were not accepted for consignment and was told they were either "too worn" or "would be better in the fall" were a total load of lies. The items that were deemd "too worn" were very much on par with items currently on the shelves/what I had seen there in the past. Since I had consigned in the past, I knew what items would be acceptable/unacceptable. The other items that I was told "would be better for the fall season" were little boys dress shoes, in black and brown. Your basic loafers and tie up shoes, both brand new. Again, there were already pairs of these shoes out to be sold. I would have just prefer they tell the truth about why they wouldn't accept the items instead of lying. Here's my biggest problem with this store. Included in this consignment were three very expensive dresses. Two were little girl's wedding type dresses, worn only once and brought in freshly dry cleaned/on hangars. They were purchased at David's Bridal for over $100. The other dress was a Jessica McClintock, with the tags still on it, also on a hanger. When I went to pick up my remaining items, they had stuffed all three of these dressed into a paper shopping bag. Now I understand that you sign all the papers saying that they aren't liable for damage, etc, but deliberately doing this to my dresses is unacceptable. I will NEVER do business with them again, nor will I recommend them to anyone I know and will tell everyone I come into contact with not to shop there.
