Best sushi in Austin area!!. My husband (then boyfriends) took me to Origami for our first valentines day and my first sushi experience. I was in love with sushi from then on out, and though I have had tons of sushi elsewhere, we keep coming back to Origami for the best sushi either of us has ever had. Beautiful interior.

Pricey, not worth it. I have been wanting to try Origami for the longest time. The restaurant was nicely decorated and neat. Coming from San Francisco, I compared the food. The servings are small and it was very expensive. They even charge for miso soup. I would not go back even if I am craving for Japanese food. It is totally not worth it.

Best sushi and japanese food in the us!!!. I am Japanese. I moved here last year and have been looking for the good sushi that i ve eaten in Japan.

I went there several times for lunch and dinner though, every time the owner, Sugako, was welcoming us always and took care of us. Not only sushi but also Tempura is so delicious Cause chef is Japanese. You can taste " REAL Japanese food" here.

I feel like in a home. Highly recommended here!!!

Overpriced ans small portions. My husband and I went here b/c of the great reviews. We love sushi, but have not been able to find a good place since we moved here. We both ordered rolls, I ordered spicy tuna with rice around the outside. Usually just one roll is enough for me, but these were so small, about the size around of a quarter, I was so hungry afterwards! Price was very high for what we got. We will not be going back.

BEST Sushi - we miss it now that we've moved!!. We moved to Montana back in 2005, and one of the things we miss the most about Austin/Round Rock is Origami. We'll be coming back to town for a visit in June, and that's the one place we HAVE to eat!! There is no other Sushi restaurant in town that can compare for the food or the price. Keep up the great work so we always have a great place to eat when we come back to town!

Excellent Sushi, great customer service!. This place has a great variety of Sushi and Sashimi, excellent combo platters and wonderful service. Convenient location and nice atmosphere make this a frequent destination of mine.

Diners come to the heart of Round Rock for sushi and shabu shabu.. In Short
A Japanese rock garden, warm-colored walls and traditional Japanese artwork provide an elegant setting. The sushi bar is a favorite dining retreat for those looking for conversation or to watch the TV over the bar, however tables and traditional maru dining offer space for larger groups. Origami is known for its sushi, which features the dragon roll with eel, cucumber and avocado. For those looking for sushi alternatives, there's shabu shabu plates and yakisoba noodles.

Great Japanese food taken straight from the country itself!. Origami is top of the line when it comes to Japanese food. After spending four years in Yokosuka Japan, coming here brings back the wonderful culture and food of such a beautiful country! Besides their awesome sushi, they have a variety of other Japanese food that you should try because its just a great!

Favorite sushi place in the area. This is my favorite sushi restaurant in the area. It is a great place for a date and even for large groups for birthdays. The service is great and the sushi even better!!! I cannot say enough good things about Origami. The food is great and it is reasonably priced compared to some other places in town.

NOT recommended. This was close to the worst sushi experience I have ever had. The sushi chef seemed overwhelmed with only three tables and me at the sushi bar. The chef had an extremely novice helper. Neither chef nor assistant were Japanese or even Asian, for that matter. The fish was average, but the sushi rice was well below average. I ordered the spicy tuna roll with rice on the outside, and it was prepared with the nori on the outside instead. The foot odor from the patrons seated at the table area permeated the entire restaurant - not an appetizing intrusion. Very disappointing, Origami.
