Had one server forget we ordered another round of drinks, billed up for them, and accused us of getting them. The manager approached and I pointed out across the bar two watered down frozen drinks that our server neglected to serve us. Meal was taken care of. Very consistent food. Shane Morrison is the manager if you got problems, ask for him.
Great Tex-Mex Food - Lousy Wait Staff..
Great food, great prices, LOUISY service. Could use some improvement. Tasteful Tex-Mex food. The enchilada plates are superb (3 types - chili, red sauce & creamy chicken- try them ALL)! Disappointed with the rude wait staff. Slow to return to take orders, refill drinks, etc. If you ask for add?l lemons for your tea, napkins or anything else, be prepare for another long wait. This kind of service happened more than once so I am inclined to think these waiters just expect to be tipped no matter what. Our experience at this restaurant has been ruined by some of the lousy waiters. As far as our last waiter goes, he should have found a new line of work, but instead he continues to work there.
I want to like everything about this place but need to be convinced that the hired staff is more attentive to serving its customer?s. If your willing to dine in for tasteful Tex-Mex food and over look some of the lousy wait staff, this would be the place to go. Enjoy!
Fast, friendly service and dependable tex-mex. This restaurant has been our old standby since we moved nearby. The food is always fast and the service friendly. We've been to other Serranos where the service and food was so-so, but the management here makes this more than just another chain tex-mex joint. The manager is always on the floor to solve problems where they occur and we've consistantly seen the same waitstaff the past couple of years, which I think says alot. There's dedicated chips and salsa servers, so you're never waiting for more (although the food comes out so fast, it won't likely be an issue). The restuarant is spread out and not cramped, although it can be a bit loud at times. As for the food, it's consistantly good and always tastes fresh. We're particularly fond of the spinach quesadillas and veggie fajitas. Can't go wrong with the ritas, either. Only thing bad I can really say about it is that the parking lot is typically full and there's lots of compact spaces, so parking can sometimes be a challenge.
Editorial Review by Citysearch Editors. This dependable chain serves up tasty margaritas and Tex Mex standards like chicken enchiladas, fajitas and taco salads.
