Dr. Becker is the best. I've been visiting Dr. Becker for over 10 years. I find her to be extremely professiojnal, yet warm and understanding. I am a Medicare patient and they did not make me pay a copay when I left. She gave me oodles of samples, one of which saved me paying $137 for a prescription for that drug. I am in a profession where dermatologists refer patients to me from time to time, so I know many area dermatologists. I drive from Austin to Round Rock to see her. Sure she runs late, don't all docs? However, the personal attention I get is worth the wait. She does not rush through your appointment. I would recommend her over many others here in Austin, and her fees are very reasonable.

Tricare Patients BEWARE!!. BEWARE retired / active military who chose to use their Tricare benefits - DON'T go to Dr. Becker! She is not a Tricare provider, thus requests you to sign a waiver stating she is not a Tricare provider, plus the waiver stipulates that YOU will NOT file a claim against Tricare for services provided by her whether it is a Primary or Secondary insurance claim. Her office staff stated that because of nasty complications with several past secondary claims filed with Tricare, they (Tricare) advised her to have her patients sign this waiver. I have been a patient of Dr. Becker's for approx. 5 years & refused to sign the waiver the 1st visit - she treated me anyway; 2nd visit I refused to sign the waiver - she treated me anyway, then today she refused to treat me because I would not sign the waiver. I called Tricare & they've never heard of such - if you have a primary insurance, ie. Blue Cross Blue Shield, you have the right to file Tricare as a secondary insurance even though the physician is not a Tricare provider. Dr. Becker is not the only dermatologist in the Austin area - I refuse to waive the right to use a benefit that my husband served 20 years in the military to earn!

Not that professional ....... I was not impressed by Dr. Becker. She doesn't have a lot of skill communicating and I'm not one to sit for an hour before she decides to see me. Don't waste your time or money.

Dr. Becker is awesome. I've been with Doctor Becker for over 8 years now. I've always found her to be nothing less than professional, courteous, and very easy to talk to. Over the years, I've had multiple dysplastic nevi removed (including a severely atypical one that other doctors thought looked totally fine), and I feel that she does a very good job of pinpointing the problem spots, and distinguishing between okay and not okay moles. I trust her judgmenent (which is key, since I'm essentially putting my life in her hands). I can also confirm that she does an excellent job at suturing- a clean line that heals quite nicely (another doctor even saw her work on me and complimented it). HIghly recommended!

A Life Saver. All though Dr. Becker is guiet and seems shy, she is very efficient. She saved my husbands life by diagnosing his Melinoma early and getting him to surgury immediately. My whole family goes to her now.

Nice and friendly. My son had an appointment with her and I thought the office staff and Dr. Becker were very nice, polite and friendly. She didn't seem to rush us at all. I was hesitant to go to her after reading the previous reviews, but at this point I am happy we went to her.

Don't waste your time or money!. I waited over 3 months for a 'new patient' appointment. I wanted some moles removed from my face and had some concerns over some odd shaped ones on other body parts. During the 'examination', Dr. Becker stood across the room from me and didn't even touch me (didn't even introduce herself with a handshake). She told me that my concerns about the moles were 'unfounded' and that my medical insurance would not pay to have them removed. Since she didn't 'exam' me, how would she know? Don't waste your time or money!

Avoid. I saw this Doctor for a general check up and ended up having to have several moles removed that was not necessary. She did an awful job, I ended up getting a horrible infection and also ended up with terrible scars. I went to another dermatologist to take a look at my scars and he couldn't believe what a horrible job that was done and if I want to fix the problems that Dr. Becker made, I will have to pay out of my own pocket. I regret ever going to this Doctor.
