I had lunch at La Tapatia and barbacoa was pretty intense. Tons of flavor, maybe too much for some folks. A little bit greasy, but I assume that is the way it should be. I want to go back and try some other offerings. Pretty inexpensive and pretty tasty. I say try it.

After eating at multiple Mexican restaurants in Austin, La Tapatia remains to concentrate on quality vs. quantity. I hope that this restaurant never loses its focus. Food is delicious whatever you order and great prices. Feel free to practice your Spanish. However, the bathrooms need to be renovated and cleaner.

For $3, count them, THREE FREAKIN' DOLLARS, you can get a burrito filled with 2 meats, lettuce & tomato, smothered in cheese, with beans and rice. You don't finish this burrito in one sitting unless you are starving. This is a great VALUE for those who want a filling, casual breakfast. THE SALSA, two kinds, ARE BOTH DELICIOUS.
