Austin >Austin Dermcare
The doctor himself I liked, Dr Fox. The staff is horrible however. Just horrible!!! From the woman that greets you at the front counter to Dr Fox's HORRIBLE assistant Becky, to the people that answer the phone, their attitudes all need major adjustments. As an employer myself, I have to say that the buck stops at the employer, so while I blame the staff, the Doctors also have to accept blame. If this was my office, my staff would be open armed greeting the people coming in paying my salary. Without us as customers, these people including the Doctors would not have a job, and they should appropriately practice their business based on that principal. The office staff, and I am talking so far of SIX different people I personally have had involvement with, have a “we don’t care” and “we will survive with or without you” attitude. They are all short, rude and by no means accountable or responsible. Right now as I am writing this I am fuming, as I have been waiting all day for a call back from Becky, which assured me yesterday during my office visit that she would call me today to schedule my surgery appointment. I need to get in contact with my insurance and I need to make arrangements at work. I scheduled yesterday’s appointment four weeks ago (it was the soonest they had available), and four weeks ago they ASSURED me they could do the surgery by the end of the year to accommodate my year-end insurance requirements. Becky yesterday assured me she would call me today with an appointment, and when I asked for name to call her just in case I didn’t hear form her (which I could tell by talking to her she lacked responsibility) she was snarky and rude about giving me her name. Almost like I was insulting her by asking for contact information. All this being said, it is now 4:45 and I have called up there FOUR times today asking that she call me, and I have not heard one word from her, and the snippy office person that I have to leave a message with can’t even give me the simple CPT insurance codes so I can at least work on those arrangements with my insurance company in the mean time. Yesterday’s visit was no different, from the snarky woman at the front desk, to Becky the Doctor’s assistant to the girl I paid upon checkout, they were all much less than friendly, just yucky to be around and yucky to have to deal with. Dr Fox however was VERY pleasant and very nice. Out of frustration I called ARC’s Dermatology and scheduled a tentative appointment for December the 5th with one of their Dermatologists. ARC got me in quick, listened to my situation, and squared me away. I encourage everyone looking for a Dermatologist office to look at ARC, they are always responsible and accountable. I should have gone to them first instead of these guys who my insurance company recommended.
Very Pleased with Austin Dermcare and Dr. Margaret Hart. I've been seeing Dr. Hart for several years and have nothing but praise for her and her practice. She truly cares about her paitients and has been a "god send" for me. She is "patient oriented" and makes every attempt to accomodate her patients and their needs. Her waiting room is full, and sometimes a little behind schedule, but that tells me there are others that don't mind the wait for quality, proffessional medical care.
The reviews all 4 excellent ratings are true. She is terrific, kind, compassionate, trustworthy.. Definitely recommending this excellent compassionate doctor to anyone, including my husband.......... The only doctor who told the truth and dissolve my fear. How silly I was to wait so long about nothing !!!! Nothing was painful, nothing to be afraid of. She listened to my concerns and gave her recommendations and was so gentle and caring. Office was busy and well worth the wait. I definitely am going back for addtl. concerns. Her staff is also terrific, caring, gentle and friendly. Definitely relaxes you. Clean facilities. TERRIFIC!!!!!
Outstanding in every spect. Tremendous. Easy to get an appointment. Several doctors to select from. Highly professional. Took my insurance. Reasonable fees and waiting procedure. I cannot think of one negative from my two visits, one of which involved a procedure to remove a cyst.
Prompt, thorough dermatology care. Austin Dermcare came highly recommended to me by several friends and co-workers. I initially saw Dr. Fox who was very patient and thorough with me as I had acquired quite a "list' of dermatology woes over the years. He froze off several pesky growths on my back and examined my moles. He even treated my adult acne. I later saw his PA, Rachel Miller when he wasn't available and was equally pleased. I will definitely be back and have recommended several of my friends.
Great Doctor. I have been seeing Dr. Hart close to 6 years, I have had only wonderful things to say about her. She does a yearly check and I go in for other checks during the year. She did find out through an exam that I did have skin cancer. I was referred and had surgery in less than 2 weeks. I have sent a couple of friends and they were very pleased with her. A great Dr. giving great care what more could I ask for?
If you like paying your insurance company you'll love this place.. Dr. Hart filled out marked my insurance claim in such a way that my visit wouldn't be covered. And prescribed medication that isn't be covered under my plan. Worst of all the medication didn't do anything.
good dermatologist. i've had 2 other dermatologists. never liked them. i went to dr hart a couple months ago and don't think i'll go to any other ones unless i have to move. their office is clean, new and has a good variety of magazines. kind of tricky to get to office though. look it up on maps first.
Helpful and Compassionate Woman. Dr. Hart is amazing. She is honest and wants to help you the best that she can, and she knows a lot about newer products and how to suit your personal needs. She actually cares about helping you, which is sometimes hard to find in a dermatologist.
excellent doctor. Although I had to wait a few minutes in the waiting room, the visit was worth the wait. All of my concerns and more were addressed.
