Yes !! If you like peace and quiet in a beautiful setting..
My wife and I went there yesterday for a mid week getaway. Check in was quick and friendly and we were headed to our room in under 10 minutes along with a map and general briefing on the resort.
The room was one of several in each of the lodges. In keeping with the green and simple theme, they are very neat and tidy without a lot of excess space or unneeded furnishings. Folks who need constant entertainment or non-stop tv might have an adjustment period here. This place is perfect for de-stressing and simply being. We toured the resort and stopped and talked to several of the employees. As a service professional myself I can certify that this team understands customer service and we were met with genuine smiles and offers to help. We opted out of any group classes or activities as we had only one day to unwind. The hiking trails were a bit challenging and proper footwear is required if you plan to enjoy the beautiful and mostly shaded 2+ mile loop around the canyon.
Although dinner looked great we had already made plans off site but made it back in time for a leisurely sunset by the awesome pool. The jacuzzi and sauna were well-maintained and inviting. For a few hours we felt as if we were thousands of miles away.
Breakfast on the scenic terrace at the treehouse cafe exceeded our expectations and left us stuffed. The checkout process was simple with no surprises. Now that we have an understanding of what makes The Crossings unique among other Austin hideaways - we will certainly be back and will be telling our friends! We loved it.…
I've found the best place to go!. Just returned from spending the day at The Crossings. The spa is so calming, and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. When I called to make my reservation, Sean spent about 15 minutes going over the different body treatments and massages. REALLY helpful, as I was scheduling for my Mom as well. I loved the Juniper body polish and massage. Mom ended up getting a facial, which she said was the best yet. When I mentioned that it was her birthday, the spa director gave her a flower and birthday card. It made her day. The food was pretty good. We both had a glass of wine, and enjoyed the best view of any Austin spa. Unlike some previous posts, we didn't have a problem with being charged for our wine. I get the impression that the spa is not in charge of the bar, or the food service…
I give up!. I tried on 2 ocassions to book spa services for my daughter and myself. I kept getting a voice mail, left a message, and no one called me back. So I called the next day- same thing- no one answered! When someone finally called me back five hours later, the time slots I wanted were filled. She said they have to call and ask if a massage therapist can come in. Its like they arent fully staffed. I gave up and decided to go elsewhere- this kind of "service" is ridiculous.…
Rip off at spa, credit card charged inappropriately!.
I used to go to The Crossings quite often, but haven't been in 2 years or so. The place is under new management/ownership now. So, I purchased a Groupon and went for a massage and day at the pool.
Well, my massage was cut about 10 minutes short. (The time I had was very nice, but too short). I went for a 50 minute massage, plus a few minutes for the intake. What I got was 40 minutes TOTAL. The intake was verbal and she didn't even look at my chart to see what was going on with me. Also, my massage was just less than 40 minutes and she ran out for another client.
The biggest problem was the drinks by the pool. I had a glass of wine and was told afterwords that I'd be charged. Fine, so I checked out and the front desk person told me I had a zero balance. So I figured the drink was included w/ the day pass from the Groupon or someone had made a mistake. Come to find out, they charged me over $10 for a small glass of wine (I mean small, 5 oz or so), AND they charged me after I checked out. This was all just explained to me by the Spa Manager who would not refund my money, just kept saying that he was sorry and he'll let his manager know so they can improve their staff training.
Such a collosal disappointment, with a questionable bit of deceit thrown in = bad spa environment and even worse business! I will not ever be back and will make sure people know about the treatment I've received before they consider visiting The Crossings!…
A massage to remember!. I have been very fortunate to enjoy many massages in beautiful places around the world. This massage was definitely one of my favorite! My massage therapist was Judy. She made all the difference by listening to my needs and not just going through the motions. My lower back pain has also been relieved - thanks to her! Judy was very friendly, warm and very attentive. She really knows how to give a truly wonderful massage. I learned that Judy also does the very specialized Watsu massage which I plan to try very soon too!…
