HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT. I have never had such a horrible experience trying to rent an apt. I know that apt. managers get commission for apt. they rent, and I do not feel that I should have to run behind Mrs. Maribel Torres, apt. mang. for an apt. My daughter went to Georgetown Place Apt about 2 weeks ago looking for an apt. for me. Mrs. Maribel told my daughter that she had a apt. avail. to move in ASAP. My daughter asked Maribel was it 1st fl. or 2nd because I (mom) am disabled and can not go up and downstairs. She said that she would have something available on the 1st fl. as of the 15th. From that moment she never got back in touch with us about anything. We would call all day for days in a row and leave messages with the answering serv. She would never respond or answer the phone. I would have to keep running up to the apt. just to get information about what was going on. At that point then she would say, "Oh I need this or that"," No you are not approved yet, I'm still waiting on my corp. office". She is very unprofessional, and tacky. We never got a fl plan, a tour of the property, she didn't tell us anything about the place, nothing. When we asked to see a model she just "tossed" my daughter the keys and said apt. 5000 something bldg. 5 as she pointed out the window across the street. Disappointed by her tackiness we reluctantly went to see the apt. I really like the size and layout but the grounds were not kept, the trash around the dumpsters were over flowing with furniture and trash, and the pool was "green" and "swampy". Mrs. Maribel said that we should have the approval on Mon. May 11 and I could sign my lease then. Aggravated we had to go up there again just to see what was going on with the application on Mon. Again she said that it was still not approved yet but hopefully tomorrow. My daughter asked her if the apt. was ready for me to look at least, surprised that the mang. does not do a walk through with there tenants or future tenants. She once again "tossed" us the keys and said 2000 something bldg. 2 as she pointed out the window. Upon arrival to my confusion and aggravation.........it was on the 2nd floor. Went back to the office where she was standing in the back door way talking to someone, never came over to ask us what we thought about the apt. or nothing. My daughter informed the main. man as he walked over that she gave us the keys to the wrong apt. because my daughter "specifically" told her that her mother is disabled and "CAN NOT" do stairs. She mumbled under her breath to the maint. man that my daughter told her 2nd floor or first available. WHAT??? She said she had another apt. avail. that day. On Thurs. May 14 my daughter called her to find out if the apt. was ready and whether or not I was approved yet. She said "Yes, I just go the approval and the apt. is ready to move in tomorrow at 5".

When I talk to Maribel today and informed her I will not be taking the apt., she said "You know you won't get your $199 deposit back?" My attorney informed me that I have 72 hours from date of approval to change my mind and receive all except application fee ($35) back. I know the apt. was not in convinced by my decision because it is not like it was being held for me, and it is not even ready until 5pm today.

TAKE MY WORD, IF YOU HAVE A CRAPPY FUTURE TENANT EXPERIENCE, IMAGINE WHAT LIVING THERE WOULD BE LIKE. Nothing would get fixed, she never returns your calls, and there tenants are not a priority.
