I visited Sirens Salon recently for a first time visit. My first impression was a comfortable one. The atmosphere was calm yet hip, the demeanor was professional, and the service was friendly. Try to find all three of those in another salon in austin! My stylist was Jay. She is HIGHLY recommended. The haircut experience was none other than exceptional. I dont know why but it seems that every good hair stylist in this town conspires to be late to appointments made by me... EXCEPT JAY! haha.. seriously though.. Jay initiated my appointment a few minutes early even! She was courteous and friendly but not over talkative. She listened to my wants, suggested a couple of things, then went to work. My hair is very difficult... very thick and semi wavy... so it's always a challenge. Jay navigated the dangerous ocean of cowlicks atop my head magnificently. It's hard to add texture to hair like mine as most stylists think they are cutting too much out... Jay had no problem understanding what needed to be done and I could not be more pleased with her work. The sirens salon experience was nothing short of fantastic. Go see Jay and tell her Dennis sent ya!

I admit to being one of those who have strong opinions about my hair - I know what doesn't work, and sometimes hair stylists can be a little pushy about their vision of what they think is best. Lindsey is so incredible because although she is very talented and visionary, she also listens. She has some really great ideas about color that I like, because she keeps the health of my hair as a priority. Instead of just throwing a bunch of chunky highlights in, she takes the time to weave them in so that they're more subtle, and my hair isn't fried, it still has shine and looks healthy. We don't always agree but I can talk to her and she doesn't get an attitude, she just goes, hmmm, well, what if we do this.....and I end up loving it. Give her a try - and Lindsey, don't ever change! :-)
Pros: Lindsey,ambience is also nice, and parking is not bad.
