I will never return

by JoeStu at Citysearch

I have never posted a review before but my experience was so STRANGE and BAD that I felt I had to.

I had my car towed to the shop because it died while I was driving it and wouldn't restart. I figured it was a good shop near home, and had a friend who thought they did good work.

They took a look and it needed a new distributor, which they replaced, though it seemed a little pricey. I went to pick it up and was informed that the check engine light was on and if I wanted it looked at that was additional. I asked what if the light is from the work they JUST did, and they said it would be extra. Their stance was they got it running and the engine light was not why I had brought it in and was a separate issue, therefore extra.

Yes I took my car to a mechanic to be fixed and they considered it "fixed" with the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON. Not only that they argued with me that it was completely normal and SHOULD be extra to figure out what caused it.

After ARGUEING I got them to agree that if I took it to an autozone and the error was from their work they would clear the error for free. I had to argue to get that.

I ended up taking it to autozone and for FREE guess what the work the mechanic did CAUSED the error. I took it back in and they looked at it and when the mechanic put the part on he didn?t connect it all the way therefore the light was on. The poor work done on the car caused this whole deal. When I finally picked it up a second time the comment was ?why we are doing work for free now? and I had to tell\convince her why the second time in was free and why my car had been there for a few days, like it was my fault. While finishing up the phone rang and I was ignored to answer that call, never said bye or thanks or anything. My ride there and I looked at each other and couldn't believe the service.

I will never return and the story and the 5 minutes there convinced my ride that he will also never go there.
