In Short – A boisterous, all-ages crowd of pasta lovers pack this energetic Italian spot, where chefs clad in white hats and red scarves keep diners wide-eyed by showing their moves in the busy open kitchen. The menu boasts family-sized portions of hearty traditional fare, from antipasti, chicken and pasta dishes to seafood, steak and wood-fired pizzas. Signature plates include grilled pork chops, lobster ravioli, and penne rustica with shrimp, grilled chicken and smoked prosciutto in cream sauce.

Editor's Tips

What to Drink:
Each table is supplied with a huge jug of Macaroni Grill's "house" wine. You tell your server how much your table had to drink, and he or she charges accordingly.
The Extras:
The little ones will feel right at home here: A kids menu offers corn dogs, grilled cheese and chicken fingers, and there are crayons on the tables for doodling on the paper tablecloths.

Not good

by hbertani at Citysearch

Just ate here and we were very dissapointed. My husband got the chicken scalopini and the sauce was way too strong and he had to scrape it off. I got a pene pasta dish with their garlic cream sauce and it was below average. Our salads have several brown pieces of lettuce. It has the taste of a typical chain and we have learned our lesson and will go local next time.

I really like this place

by bmwkobe at Citysearch

I'm beginning to count on this place for a good experience when I can't decide where else to go. The inside is large but still classy and personal. The lighting is just right, not too dark or too bright. The location sits atop an elevated area, giving you a great view of the city. There are big tables if you have a large party. There are also smaller, more romantic ones. The food is high quality and served fairly quickly even in busy times. The staff is friendly and never left my diet coke empty--a big plus for me. Portions are hearty enough, and ingredients are top notch. Drawing with the crayons on the paper table cover is always fun. What can I say, just go if you're in the mood for dependable Italian dining.
