Pop-a-lock not an ethical company.. 01/01/10 we requested roadside assistance to change a flat tire on our van. Geico sent Pop-a-Lock. They sent a kid in a red 4 wheel vehicle who couldn't figure out where the spare was nor how to get it off so we had to give him the manual to figure it out. After locating the spare, the guy placed the jack in the incorrect spot underneath the van, bending the metal. Then, he began to remove the lugnuts and he broke one. We simply asked him to fix it and put the spare on and he advised he will need to contact his manager. After speaking with his manager, he asked us how long it had been since we had changed the tire and that it wasn't his fault and that the lugnut would've popped off regardless, which is insulting. First, no matter what or why, we called for a service that we pay for every month and when we called Geico who sent pop-a-lock, for service, our van is now undrivable. Luckily, I understand that pop-a-lock is not Geico and they are the ones to blame. I feel as though people should know this company is not a company with ethics and morals b/c when I heard him talking to his manager after telling him geico is sending a tow truck to tow the van to Discount Tire, the manager simply said, "okay, well, I guess we'll bill it as a full ticket". They do not deserve to get paid for this service. Photos can be provided.

Bewar of Scammers. Scammedbylocksmith. You probably di not call the real Pop A Lock. There are many scammers out there who claim they are us. If you said you called and spoke directly to the owner, that wouldnt be the way we do things. All complaints go through the city manager. If you feel like it was us please email me at mypalaustin@gmail dot com and we can look up your info to see if it was really us. We also dont charge 48 dollars so again it may have not been us.

took advantage of my teenage daughter. My 18 year old daughter locked her keys in her car in Austin. We had no spare. Called Pop-A-Lock and they told me it would be 30-45 minutes and would cost $48. After an hour, I called them again and they said they had already come by, and even asked for her then left. She was at volleyball gym which is housed on a small campus. Only one way in and out. Her brother went to the lot to wait for the driver since it was getting late and dark. He actually sat on the car waiting. Once more I called the company and they told me they would go back, but it would be an additional $10. What were we to do? After the car was opened, I called the company to tell them their driver lied about two visits. I said, "Im sure as a business owner you would want to know your driver never showed up but once...," The owner hung up on me. Passing my story along. Be Warned!

Great Service. Dont know what this other person was talking about, but I had great service when I called Pop A Lock. They came out and unlocked my house with no problems. Even gave me a great deal on rekeying. I would recommend them to all my friends and family. The technician was very courteous and showed up earlier then expected. A++++ Service
