Editorial Review for Kobe Steakhouse – by Tara Fatemi

In Short
The spacious, comfortable room has stainless steel and wood accents that lend sophistication. Teppanyaki cooking is a form of tabletop grilling that allows chefs to showcase knife talents. Kobe's tables feature built-in gas grills and seat eight, so smaller groups sit communally. Chefs entertain with flaming "onion volcanoes"--onion-slice layers doused with oil. Scallops/shrimp combination features succulent shrimp, plus large scallops fried in butter and soy. High-quality filet mignon is rich and smoky.

Legendary Japanese delicacy Kobe beef, first served in Texas in 2001, is dry-aged prime grade beef from Japan's Wagyu stock. Call ahead to reserve this richly flavored, expensive meat (deposit required).

Know Before You Go

On weekends you must use the dinner menu; the less expensive lunch menu isn't available.

First off, Kobe is not that bad of a place, I have always gotten good sushi. Second, the prices might be a little high, but where are they not?? I do enjoy the atmosphere, and the wait staff seems mostly friendly. Would be nice if the chef spoke English though. I have many great experiences at this resteraunt and do plan on returning, but I am turned off by what seems to be a bogus review posted on the same date as the Resteraunts Reply to the bad review : ( If you have never been to Kobe Steakhouse, I say go and see for yourself.
