Editorial Review for Cuba Libre – by Dirk Sonniksen
In Short
Warm golden walls, wood interior and hanging wrought-iron and glass lamps provide a relaxing backdrop. Meanwhile, a wall-length leather banquette and low, candlelit tables encourage intimate conversation among the eclectic crowd of young professionals. A long "floating bar" down the center of the room provides additional seating and is perfect for larger groups. The limited menu consists of soups, salads and an array of tapas like crab cakes and chicken satay.

I took some family members to this restaurant after learning that there would be live music through the restaurant's web site. After sitting down we learned that there would be no live music. We stuck around to have dinner. The entrees and appetizers were a little less than mediocre - the plantain appetizer was fairly bland. The black beans tasted mildly fishy and the quality of the food served did not correlate to the portions (low quality and small portions). I also had to send back my mojito as it tasted like sugar water - a major mistake for a restaurant purporting to be "Cuban". Needless to say I was a bit embarassed at having taken my out of town guests to such a lackluster dining experience. The highlight of the evening was going home for dessert. I would not recommend ordering entrees. Seems like a tapas and drinks only type of place. Great selection of rums. Hopefully they have more experienced bartenders for busier nights.
Pros: selection of rums, ambience
Cons: entree quality and selection

GREAT PLACE! Food is wonderful and so is the overall atmosphere! Great place to go to dinner, with the girls, or even on a date. I highly recommend this place!
Pros: FOOD, MUSIC, SERVICE
Cons: GETS CROWDED
