pretty fun. This place is pretty consistent and fun for the most part. I think it's a little difficult to get around sometimes if they're busy, especially up and down the stairs. But I really enjoy their rooftop bar it gives you a chance to get some fresh air and look out downtown. I usually come here with a few friends for drinks and then go out to a place where you can actually dance. Six is more of a place for pre-drinking and visiting. Drinks are nicely made too.

Worst Bar in Austin. This is the worst bar I've ever been too. I'll never go to Six again. Went there Friday nite to meet some friends and was a bit early. Went to the bar , but couldn't get the attention of the bartender for a drink. OK, so ... I went to one of the lounge areas and figured I'd get waited on by one of the barmaids. They walked past me , but never came over to take my order for food or drink. I went outside and called my friends and told then just to meet me at 219 West. The waitstaff seemed to be more interested in talking amongst themselves. I could see them jabbering with each other ... casting glances my way, but ignoring me the whole time. Very strange. Oh well, lesson learned ... I'll never go to Six again.

Well it's not b-sides, but. I had been a fan of B-Sides for many years, and of course was very sad when Austin lost The Bitter End and the brewery. I was even more sad when the landlord sold out to a higher bidder and would not let them rebuild. However I kept going to B-Sides as it became The Tap Room. The ambiance was the same, familiar faces still behind the bar, and they at least have local beers on tap if not their own. However the place has gradually changed ambience to the point where it is now an entirely different place. We still go occasionally for friendly chats at the bar on slower weeknights ($2 drafts on Tuesday!) but the weekend can forget it. The casual lounge experience is gone, the DJ is in. And OK Lance, what's with the ridiculous new design of the women's restrooms here?? You should hear the hands scrambling to latch onto the unlockable (and peek-through) saloon doors on the stalls when you walk in the main door. Yes, I'm personally blaming Lance. :)

see your pals do stupid human tricks at the gong show. Wow..some kinda bad reviews here-Taproom that is. This place rocks. I too used to hang out here when it was the B-side.

Word on the street is the old owner lost his lease. Six stepped up (Lance and Crew) took over the space.

A great joint to hang out with fellow bikers(cyclists). The best place in town to see buff biker boys is on a

Tuesday night. Go to the Gong show first Wednesday of the month for gutt wrenching hilarity.

I am not a beer drinker .. but texas beers served there and I think they have a great wine list for a taproom.

A REALLY GREAT WINE LIST.

Oh, and most importantly, the bartenders are HOT especially the girls. Cuz isn't that what's it's all about?

Service with a smile can be found there. P.S. Watch out for occassional wisecrack from your server- tip extra for that...I did.

Comfortable corner bar that's worthy of Lance Armstrong's personal investment in it.. In Short
This loft-style bar makes the most of its prime location in the heart of the Warehouse District. Brown brick walls, exposed pipes and hardwood floors set a simple, understated tone while the old-school wooden theater seats lining one wall and cushy black chairs opposite them add character. Two big-screen televisions hanging in opposite corners entertain some while others stay busy dancing to the moment's hottest music. The balcony is a cozy spot for a conversation. The rooftop patio makes the most of breezy evening outings.

Worst Bar Ever. I went there last Saturday. It sucked. If you like over-crowded, trendy sausage fests, this is the place for you. I'm even madder now that I've read this place replaced the B-side. This is the worst bar in Austin.

I Miss The B-Side!!!!!!!. This review is actually more for the Six Tap Room that used to be the B-Side. I absoloutly LOVED the B-Side. Thought it was the best place in all of Austin to go period. It still has most of the same great features: Great bar, great staff, awesome balcony to sit and talk with friends. We used to come around 11 and grab a microbrew (amazing beer but more alchoholic than you may think) at the bar, and take it upstairs to the very uniquely designed high tables which were perfect for conversations in threes and fours. The high tables are gone but they still have couches up there and the old B-Side sign that used to be outside. The place still features all the cool lava lamps and dim lighting that made it so special. So yes, I still love this place, and I have very fond memories here (I celebrated my 21st here!) and I will continue to take friends here and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a relaxing night with friends.

Once was great... now being ruined. So Lance Armstrong apparently bought the bar, shut it down, and is completely redoing it. Only in Austin could a celebrity famous for bicycling buy and ruin my favorite bar. Apparently he's retooling the entire concept. The Lounge had amazing drinks and was perfect for just chilling with friends... what will it be now? Another sports bar? Thanks a heap Lance, I won't be buying any of your stupid yellow bracelets.
