Went for a trim 5 inches later... Butcher job. I usually pay $50 plus for a haircut but I really just wanted a simple trim. I was in the shopping center running errands and thought I would come by and get my split ends taken care of. Stephanie cut my very long hair, she did not mention she has been out of school 4 months and has no idea what she was doing. I was not upset she took 3 inches off or that one side was a inch longer and uneven I was upset that every piece of hair she cut was straight across and you could tell. I went back the next day and the Manager said he would fix it he did what he could but unless I wanted short hair that was all he could do. When he tried to show the women who cut my hair how not to make that mistake, she could not have been bothered and went on to take her next client. When I mentioned her attitude I was told she was embarrassed and when "I go to a discount salon you get what you pay for on a hair cut" I then said I did not want a haircut just a trim, 5 inches measured later my trim became a cut

TGF looses John Young. John Young was my families hair stylist. He is patient with the little ones and always did a Great job. He reciently moved to Finley's Barbarshop and Salon U. It is a little more expensive, but well worth the price. It's nice to be able to make an appointment and have him be able to spend more quality time with me and my family. As allways my hair looks GREAT!!

Great deal.. I have been going to TGF and John Young specifically for four years. John gives a salon haircut at a fraction of the cost. Also, he is great with little kids as he has patience. Highly recommend his services and at 15 dollars ( men's cut) it is a bargain vs. 45 dollars at a high end salon.

p.s.- i had Keiko cut my son's hair one time and she did a great job also. It seems these two both have regular clients. Dont know about the others though.

Watch your credit receipt!. I used to take my kids here for haircuts. They were cheap, nearby, and did a so-so job. Christine, the manager, is very nice and the best at cutting hair.

However, I was checking my bank balance after a cut one day and discovered that they had charged more for the tip than my receipt said. I called and was asked, "How did you find this so fast?" I have no idea how long this practice was occurring, but I will not go back.

I NEVER WOULD HAVE THOUGHT!!!. GREAT prices and John is the best hair stylist in Austin...hands down...don't ask for anyone but John...all the upscale women in Lakeway swear by him and so do I!!!
