Editorial Review for The Dizzy Rooster – by Tara Hall

In Short
Signs announcing Texas cities like Luckenbach and Lubbock immediately draw the eye to the ceiling, where a colossal state flag is boldly painted. Beer caps trim the window, the bar, even the bathroom doors. Choose your brew of choice from over 50 varieties, including canned classics like Lone Star. The relaxed atmosphere lures happy hour visitors and late-night bar-hoppers, providing entertainment in the form of strategically placed televisions, live music and a compact dance floor.

The Dj is named DJ Veg and every once in a while he will get on the bartop in nothing but tight cheeta boxers and sing! It's so funny! They have girls dance on the bar, play a veriety of old school and new songs and have a really great staff. One of the best bars on the street besides the Chuggin Monkey and Thirsty Nickel!

Pros: everything

Cons: none

great variety of music to keep u suprised... one minute rap next something old school! my friend (since like 8th grade) danced for like 45 mins straight. the DJ was awesome and purely hilarious! his "night finale" was awesome... nothing like seeing a guy dressed in pink boxers, pink shirt and big round glasses singing and dancing on the bar as he tells u fairwell... i also like the way they include at the end that if u are too drunk to drive be sure to let them know so they can get u home safely. great touch of showing sincerity. yeah leo that was on the real world is the manager or something now but he doesn't seem to look like he let it go to his head. just all out great night!!!

Pros: entertaining, variety of music, fun crew

Cons: more room to stand
