I love this place! Never has this food made me sick! Delish!. I have literally eaten here over 300 times (as I have lived in San Marcos for most of my life). I have never been sick from the food and frankly, I think this is some of the best Thai food I have ever had. I am only comparing to Thai food I have had in Austin and Chicago, but this is still my favorite. I guess everybody is different, but don't listen to people with bad taste. Let them free up some table at this awesome restaurant so we can get to eating quicker. Their loss.

Good Thai, Great Price. Some of my favorite dishes here are the pad thai, and the thai curries. The masamune curry is one of the best I've had at any Thai restaurants. They give you a very generous portion of curry, and you can make multiple meals of it with extra sides of rice. Service is a bit non-traditional. The waiter usually comes around once, and then you're on your own for the rest of the visit. I usually just get up and ask for whatever I need and they're happy to oblige. My one big complaint is that all the Thai food is about the same level of spicy unless you ask for a little bit more; then it not only hurts going down, but causes pain long after the meal is over. Asking for spicy here is like asking for spicy at a south indian restaurant. Bring on the pain.

People who like this place have never had good Thai. Oh this place is unique alright... Last time I ate their I threw up all of the food I ate there. And yes it was the food. I've gotten it once before at a dirty Mexican food place.

So if you aren't the fortunate one to get sick from the food let me tell you if you like Thai food, don't bother. Everything tastes the same and it is the worst Thai food I've ever had!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Thai food. I've been to countless Thai places all over, and this one is borderline nasty. Like the rice and noodles are not terrible. It's hard to make bad rice and noodles, but they are just acceptable. The curries are only spice, no taste.

The soups taste NOTHING like traditional Thai soups are supposed to taste like! Tom Kha Gai is my favorite soup, favorite THING ever in life and it is so BLAND here it's maddening!!

I love Thai food and this place is no good. Save your taste buds and go up to Austin.

Great Thai Food. I love their food and they have cleaned up the place nicely. Everything is fresh cut. Sometimes the noise of the chopping of vegetables is too loud as their laughter, but if you're looking for great Thai Food, they can't be beat. Their tea is amazing. Be sure to watch how hot you want your food. Your choice, but be beware, it can get really really hot with spices. Enjoy this place and bring your friends.

Shocked by the terrible service. I love thai food, so I was very dissapointed to find they are running this establishment so poorly. I order spring rolls. They came out with close to nothing but noodles in them, so I went up to the waiter (the one who is always there) and asked him where the tofu and vegetables were. He took his hands, without gloves or anything, grabbed by spring roll off the plate, tore it open, and said "there's the tofu." There were two small pieces of tofu. Do I really need to say more?

Spot on small town Thai. Although service can leave something to be desired, Thai Thai has some rockin good Thai food. The menu is sprawling and generally the food is both authentic and tasty (it gets more authentic when grandma's in the kitchen and you ask for your dish extra spicy).

Some notable menu items:

Special beef, green curry......delicious, spicy and savory goodness! Very similar to the Beef Green Curry wontons(appetizer), except without the flaky wrap.

Pud Cha Tillapia.....crispy, super spicy(both heat and flavors)-although not quite as intense as madame mams version in austin.

Very disappointed.. We love thai food! I was so excited when I moved to San Marcos that their was a Thai restaurant in town, and it had great reviews. I went tonight expecting a wonderful authentic dinner. I was so disappointed! I had Thai Yellow Curry, and it tasted just like something that I used to make out of a packet, the rice was mushy- not sticky.

Ever had a Hispanic friend that said, "Just because I'm Mexican doesn't mean that I can make a tamale!"

It's kinda like that at Thai Thai Cafe, just because you are from Thailand doesn't mean you are born being able to cook Thai food.

I am assuming that all the people giving great reviews have never had real Thai food, I guess I'll just have to wait for the weekends that I treck home to San Antonio to have Thai food... and I'll stick to my packets of powdered curry in between times.
