Are these guys honest?. We took our lawnmower in for tune up and repair. The person who wrote up the order for our mower kept saying that its a 4 cycle engine, when it is a 2 cycle engine. They called us to say that it was completely dead, and we needed a new lawnmower, because it would cost more to repair than it was worth. They wanted to sell us a new one and would give us a $15.00 credit towards it if we purchased it that day. We went and picked up our dead mower, brought it back home, changed out the old gasoline and it is working perfectly fine. They charge $35.00 just to look at it. We will NEVER use them again.
Please accept my personal apology for your recent experience, based on your comments it certainly sounds like it was not reflective of the high level of service we try to provide to our customers. There is of course a substantial difference between a 2-cycle and a 4-cycle unit, so I agree a misidentification as you explained doesn?t make sense. I can?t speak to the other details of what took place during the standard diagnostic you mentioned, but I am very glad to hear that your mower is now up and running well. I certainly hope you will reconsider giving us another opportunity to serve you better in the future. So last Friday I got stuck trying to track down a cable for my old man's Toro walk behind. No one had one in stock, guess there's a run on Toro traction cables, cause everyone in Austin is mowing their grass so often :-)
I found Hill Country Outdoor Power online, and when I called they had over 10 of these cables in stock at their warehouse. Man was I stoked!
Picked up my dads part that morning, and spent the afternoon by the pool.

Great Customer Service!. The guys at this shop really know what they are doing. This place actually does all of the repair work for all of the Lowes in Austin, and they still fixed my mower in a week. I will go here from now on because they took the time to show me how to operate my chainsaw, after they fixed it on the spot. So now I buy from a place that can actually fix/work on what they sell!!!
