Store seems confused about customer base - consigners beware.
by jandan424 at Citysearch
I have consigned with this store since it opened several years ago. It has changed ownership 2-3 times that I am aware of and with each change, service has gotten worse. I will tell you now that I will take my clothes to consign elsewhere. The last several time I have brought clothes in, I've felt like I have practically had to beg them to take my items. They were behind on getting clothes out on the floor as the racks were practically empty. It is not the customers fault (and yes, consigners are customers too, because without us, you would not have a store) that the employees can't get the clothes out on the floor quick enough. That is a staffing problem. I don't think the consigners should be made to feel like we are a burden and treated rudely. The last time I tried to bring spring/ summer clothes in, I was told they are no longer accepting clothes until further notice. I have a marketing background and understand supply and demand, but maybe they need to restrict the number of consigners they have. They are going to lose loyal consigners with there current policy. My comment to the store employee was that I would try to find somewhere else to take my items - her comment was "good luck." My suggestion to anyone in Georgetown looking to consign childrens clothing, etc. is to go to Cedar Park or Round Rock. It's not that much further and at least you will be treated like a vital part of the store and not waste your time.
GREAT CONSIGNMENT SHOP! BEST AROUND!

I would like to respond to the lady faith428....I don't understand her position on this. This shop is a business and it should be treated like a business. I have been shopping and consigning at this shop for 4+ years and I make good money consigning my items (that also can depend on what you take in to consign...brand names, large items, etc.). The staff there is WONDERFUL!! They are very caring, polite, and really like what they are doing. I am sorry to hear you had a "bad experience" but maybe you didn't understand their policy when you signed your contract? Their policy is very clear and easy to understand.
Anyways, if anyone is looking for a great consignment shop, check Wiggles 'n Giggles in Georgetown out! They are the place to shop and consign!
- Pros: Near perfect items, great parking, great atmosphere!
- Cons: Nothing!
BEWARE! - Horrible consignement policy for sellers - Go to Kids Korner in Cedar Park instead. They are great!

The store itself and it's items are all pretty nice, but prices are a little high (unless you find something on sale). Their policy to consignors is HORRIBLE! I called today to inquire about picking up my items that didn't sale and was told that they are now property of the store because I should have called a day sooner. Well, I couldn't call a day sooner because it was Sunday and they were closed on Sunday. I was told there is no way for me to get my items back. I then inquired about my items that I could pick up on Feb. 5th. I asked if it would be possible for me to come by and pull them myself since I was going to be in town and I live 45 minutes away and likely wouldn't be able to pick them up on the 5th. I was told that wasn't possible because my items are store property until my 60 day contract is up and that wasn't until Feb 5th and I would be coming in on Jany. 30th, 6 days before my contract is up. I was also told they can't just pull people's items because they decide they want to give them to someone else. Well, I offered to pull the items myself and tried to explain to her that it isn't convenient for me to come up on 24 hours notice to pick things up, but it was of no concern to her. Also, they pay on the 15th of the month for your items that sold the previous month and they charge you a fee of $1 for them to write you a check for your money. For all the items I took up there, my account balance isn't too impressive.
I would suggest anyone wanting to consign merchandise drive to KIDS KORNER in Cedar Park in the Rail Yard off HWY 1431. Their consignment policy is great and the store is very nice and clean. They are friendly and very understanding. Great prices too.
- Pros: Store and merchandise are nice and clean.
- Cons: Horrible consignment policy for sellers.
Upscale Resale!

If you are looking for upscale resale this is the place to shop. Selections may vary depending on consignors but overall this is the first place to stop for designer clothing at affordable prices. I've been both a consignor and a buyer and been pleased with both ends of the deal. Check in often! Good items sell fast!!
- Pros: affordable, designer, new owner
- Cons: selection
Sellers Beware !!!
by meadowlark at Citysearch
Wiggles and Giggles is a wonderful place to visit. It offers a beautiful selection of girls clothing, bedding and accessories. On the downside it is indeed pricey even for a resale shop. Sellers beware!! It will only take items in perfect condtion, offering the seller only half of the sale. I sold 4 items and only received $5.50 for everything. Not only that, if you do not check on your items in a certain time. They keep them. Bottom line- great place to visit. If you intend to buy and not sell.
