Professional staff. I have just discovered Austin Vision Center where I can use my vision insurance to get the high-end frames that I have loved for years. They have all the best frames. I picked Oliver Peoples, but they have a huge selection. Check them out!

Awful. I would not use Austin Vision Center to fill your glasses prescription. They tried 4 times to fill my opthamologist's prescription and couldn't get it right. Each time I was told I needed to wear the glasses and adjust to this type of lense, although I had worn this type of lense for years before and never had any previous trouble. Each time I tried to wear the glasses filled by Austin Vision Center I would get headaches, dizzy and nauseous. The first time they actually told me to go check with my doctor to make sure he had written the Rx correctly. I went to see my doc and it turns out they had not put the pupil distance correctly on the glasses and that was making me feel sick. He wrote specific instructions for them to follow on the Rx. AVC tried three more times and each time they kept saying it was me needing to adjust. I'd go back to my dr and he would find they still had not followed his script. I finally asked for a refund, but they refused. Finally they gave me 1/2 refund after I showed them dr.'s notes. I'll dispute with credit card the rest. The optician with "several years experience" disagreed with my board certified opthamologist and says he can't give a refund "b/c everyone wants a refund b/c of the economy." I didn't want a refund b/c I couldn't afford glasses. I needed to be able to wear glasses and I couldn't wear the glasses they made for me.

I finally had my glasses filled at another vision center and they managed to get it right first time. I guess it wasn't that hard.

Pros- none

Cons' - their inexperienced staff can't fill your dr's prescription and they blame customers for problems with glasses when there is clearly something wrong with glasses.
