Surprising History & Food!. This was a great stay-cation experience! We wanted to escape everyday life and treat ourselves. Not only was the Hotel an excellent choice but the restaurant was outstanding and unique. We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast in a spectacular dining room, which we learned had an amazing history. The service was enthusiastic and attentive. Our food was fresh and tasty, as sometimes breakfast can be the most overlooked service for many hotels. I'd recommend Judges breakfast for tourist and locals alike. Rich, both, in taste and historical context!

Beautiful setting - lousy food. I was very excited to meet my friends here for the "Sip & Savor" event in Austin. However, first I was ignored by an Asian bartender for 10 mins (she was busy re-arranging stuff behind the bar). Then the food was served - the appetizer was good (Boudin Balls) however, the short ribs that followed were mostly lard and tasted aweful! I was looking forward to the 3-desert plate, which consisted of cheese cake, a brownie, and a red-velvet cake ball. All were terrible - I have never been so disappointed. Won't be back for sure.

Food was wack!. Food was overpriced, dining room was stuffy and cold. NOT a place to impress a date, but a place to empty your bank account. This place needs to be redone from top to bottom! What happened to you Judges Hill? The hotel portion is good if you like sleeping next to a frat party and a smelly old dumpster.

You'll love this place.. Best food I've had in a long time - flavorful & prepared for our utmost enjoyment. Salmon was tender and moist with a nice textured crust. The atmosphere is relaxing and intimate. The service was all suberb. I would recommend it to friends and family. Thanks for a most enjoyable evening!
